The hefty price tag comes despite pandemic-related restrictions squeezing some of the magic out of the experience
Firework displays, shows and the iconic character parades have gone
Instead of slashing the prices to make up for the disappointment, costs have continued to climb

Disney World has increased its ticket prices at roughly double the rate of inflation over the 2010s in an effort to compete with Universal Studios, which opened its Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2016, according to The Wall Street Journal.
'Disney does not like to lose - not just lose, Disney doesn't even like to compete,' Robert Niles, founder of Theme Park Insider, told Insider.
'Disney wants to dominate its competition.'
In February, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said the company was taking a 'more aggressive' financial strategy 'particularly at Disneyland.'
Since it reopened in April after shuttering due to the pandemic, Disneyland has turned its attention to premium add-ons, Business Insider reports.

And therein lies the catch: According to Disney, it’s not what’s in the sandwich that makes it cost so much, it’s because it’s meant to serve six to eight people.
So what’s in the sandwich? The panini features salami, rosemary ham, provolone and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia, along with a marinara dipping sauce, potato bites and an arugula salad.
Anyone looking to try the sandwich who doesn’t have an entire family to feed can purchase a scaled-down version for $14.49.

As my Father always said, things are only worth what People will pay for them. Disney obviously has no interest in catering to “Low Rollers”.

Disneyland in CA and I are the same age both came to life in the same month. I had the place memorized, as a kid I went there so many times. I have been to the Orlando Disney world.
Star tours was the best.
Given the modern Disney, PC, I’m certain that none of my grand kids or my families Grands kids will be visiting the parks.

Visitors with even more cash to burn could consider dining at Disneyland’s 21 Royal, an exclusive restaurant located in the New Orleans Square section of the theme park.
Reservations at that restaurant reportedly cost $15,000, or around $1,250 per person, according to food website Eater.
Emptier, but still profitable. One of the reasons for the price hikes was that people were complaining of the 3+ hour waits in line for the rides. Higher prices = fewer people = shorter lines.
I went twice. No better than any other amusement park like Hershey, Six Flags, or Sea World.

Sadly a high price tag doesn’t filter out the low rent human trash. We used to do Polynesian concierge for years and the last year they had cut back on horderves. The biggest reason they didn’t leave them out any more is some people would walk up and simply dump an entire tray in their bag and take it back to their room for a meal. Disgusting filth ruin everything nice.
