King Charles’ funeral plans reportedly being updated regularly after cancer diagnosis: ‘He is really very unwell’

King Charles’ health conditions are progressively deteriorating, leading Buckingham Palace officials to keep a regularly updated plan for his impending funeral — preparations for which started the day after Queen Elizabeth was buried, insiders said.

The 75-year-old monarch has remained largely out of the limelight since announcing his cancer prognosis in February to hide his declining condition, with multiple sources telling the Daily Beast the situation is “not good.”

“Of course he is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it. Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on,” a source described as an old friend of the royal family told the outlet.

King Charles has never revealed what cancer he has been diagnosed with but admitted that it wasn’t prostate cancer, which is one of the most treatable forms of the disease.

The Firm has also been tight-lipped on his medical journey, but well-placed insiders and political commentators have publicly spoken about how the king is “responding really well” to treatment.

Behind the scenes, however, King Charles’ aides are regularly reviewing copies of a several-hundred-page document outlining his royal funeral plans, dubbed “Operation Menai Bridge.”

“The plans have been dusted off and are actively being kept up to date. It’s no more than what you would expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer. But the circulation of them has certainly focused minds,” a former staffer with links to the serving courtiers told the Daily Beast.

“And AFAIK Charles has never smoked.”

And he’s “greener” than Kermit.

Hey Chuckie,

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:31

So yeah, I bet he’s not doing well.

True but Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mum lived well into their 90s, smoking can and does kill anyone regardless of their genetics

Elizabeth's sister smoked like a chimney, and died at 71, but she'd been in bad health for years even before.

Makes one wonder if they’re giving him ivermectin or horse paste or highly marked-up repurposed “proprietary” drugs.

I hate to break the news to you but all heads of state have “canned” funeral plans prepared in advance because of all the pomp and circumstance involved and the international customs and protocols that must be observed.

Considering neither of the first two King Chucks are particularly well remembered (one was beheaded, the other was deposed but later re-hired), it never bode well that he chose to be crowned using his birth name.

He’ll probably be best remembered as “King Charles the Divorced,” since he’s the only king who was divorced (much less divorced and remarried) when crowned that the UK, Great Britain, or England ever has had.

Heads of state are not the only ones whose deaths are prepared for ahead of time, and other interests than governments prepare for them.

A couple of times, news organizations have accidentally released false news of the deaths of celebrities, apparently while editing/updating the information they have prepared.

They tend to keep many obituary articles ready to go.

I would rely on Freeper naturalman1975 to know the status of King Charles III. Because they know each other.

The bearded man with dark mate Mourns his mistakes, crying.

Did you find this quote; or, did you make this up? Either way, spot on.

Charles wanted kingship decades ago but mom hung on and on and on and on yet Charles got his wish at an old age.

A better man would have passed his spot to his oldest son for the good of England. But Charles is a child.

That isn’t how succession in a monarchy works; it would degrade the entire process and the ideals upon which it is based.

Being Queen Regnant or King Regnant isn’t something you can just ‘put down’, if you have any respect for the institution at all.

A few more royal funerals and the Land Rover hearse Chuck's father Phil designed might not be such a ridiculous waste of money anymore.

When he was crowned, I said he would be remembered as Charles the Brief. I was right.

Edward VII got ten years.
