Yup - there's a species of so-called conservative who will always oppose Trump no matter how many good things he does, simply because their personal dislike of Trump outweighs any real conservative principle they ever pretended to have. Just look at famous hypocrites like George Will, Bill Kristol, etc.

And there's a related species of so-called conservative who will always oppose DeSantis or any other conservative who ever opposed Trump, no matter how conservative DeSantis may be, simply because he opposed Trump. Again, the dislike outweighs any conservative principle they pretend to have. DeSantis is the most conservative governor in the nation. That's all that should matter to any real conservative.

I don’t care what Bill Barr says now. We nor Trump should trust him one bit. I can imagine the never-trumpers getting together and deciding that one of them has to get close to Trump and get back on his team next year in order to “keep an eye on him”. We saw how much good Barr did last time. He stabbed Trump (and us) in the back.
