Inside the monster Tennessee BUC-EE'S gas station that has 120 pumps, brisket SHRINE, snack counters as far as the eye can see...but nowhere to sit down to eat its treats

Buc-ee's gas stations have become a popular phenomenon for Americans who want to fill their tank but also grab a sweet treat for the road.

Here DailyMail.com takes a look inside the world's largest Buc-ee's station in Tennessee.

The 74,707-square-foot station in Sevierville features 120 gas pumps, a barbecue brisket counter with a 'Texas round-up station' and rows upon rows of beef jerky.

Since opening in June, the East Tennessee branch near Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has drawn in Buc-ee's fans from around the country, as well as the curious but uninitiated.

'I think this one will put them all to shame,' Kentucky resident Collette told the Washington Post.

'It's exciting to be the largest one,' said Charlie Creech, the general manager of the Sevierville store.

'But I think they deserve to be the largest because they're in Texas.'

When the store opened in June the ribbon cutting celebration was attended by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and even Unites States Senators Bill Haggerty and Marsha Blackburn.

'We really are excited about what it's going to bring in terms of new things for people to see and do when they come to Sevierville' Amanda Marr of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce said at the time.

'It's going to open us up for people who are just passing through the area to stop and enjoy a little taste of what our town has to offer,' she added.

One fan, Terry Deschler, told WVLT, that she had queued outside the Sevierville Buc'ees since 1:30am in the morning on opening day that started at 6am.

Wearing branded Buc'ees pyjamas and hat said 'I didn't want to miss anything, I wanted to be the first one here.

'I like the Buc'ees chocolate and the t-shirts' she added.

Buc-ees is awesome. We have one about 40 minutes from us…on the way to Chattanooga from Atlanta and we make that trip quite frequently.

Eat in your car or when you get home. Pretty good BBQ and a great variety of real good beef jerky.

So many things to see/buy there. Pretty entertaining.

They are opening one near Madison, Wisconsin.

Their competition is Luv's, Flying J, Road Ranger, and Kwik Trip. I think they will clean up. Kwik Trip WAS the last place where I could get an edible burger for $1. i assume that Bucc-ees can handle the big rigs just fine.

In July, we moved from Loudon County next door to Roane County. You’ll be in a good “in-between” shot for your sons.

Bus-ee's says that they are a convenience store, like a 7-11 or a Quik Stop. Just a really, really BIG convenience store. and that's why they don't have seating.

They actually started out as a regular-sized places here in Texas, and then got bigger and bigger over time.

They are building one on the south side of Murfreesboro, TN, exit 84 off I-24.
Not looking forward to it, It already is a traffic nightmare at that exit(east side where a few businesses are). To many accidents in a 1/4 mile stretch with several businesses and many cars coming and going during rush hour. Maybe it won't be to bad being the gas station will be on the west side of Joe B Jackson Parkway.

If they DON’T allow truckers, then Flying J and Love’s nea Madison will be damaged, but survive. Road Ranger and Kwik Trip will be at risk.

I don’t know of any Buc’ees that has tables and chairs. I live in North Texas, where there are 4 Buc’ees within 45 miles.

I’ve read that the guy who founded Buc-ee’s designed the bathrooms himself. What I like is there’s a wall between urinals so there’s good separation. And they’re covered with heavy ceramic tiles which blocks sound. And on top of that they crank up the music in the bathrooms which gives even more acoustical privacy, if that’s a term. Overall an excellent bathroom design that justifies driving an extra few miles to stop at But-ee’s rather than somewhere else.

I friggin’ love Buc-ee’s. I want to go back to Texas on a more permanent basis, and admittedly Buc-ee’s is an excellent lure.

The wife and I have gotten Buc-ee’s stops down to a science. I drop her off, if I need gas I get it, then I find a space in the same general vicinity. She goes in and has my order (generally brisket burrito if breakfast, brisket sandwich if lunch), plus the snacks shopping list. After she finishes, she finds me, we might eat in the car, or we might get situated and get on down the road.

We aren’t shopping the t-shirts, insulated tumblers, and such.

It *is* a zoo, generally, but it can be negotiated reasonably quickly.

They have ethanol free 93 octane premium at the one in Calhoun, GA (N GA between ATL and Chattanooga). You might look closer at the one you go to. And check their web site, it might say all the fuel types each store carries.

I’m about 35m from there.

Pro tip: If you don’t want to eat in your car, the small tall shopping carts make pretty good impromptu tables to stand around and eat at, on the sidewalks around the building.

The Buc-ee’s near me in N. GA has a pre-existing Love’s directly across the street. Love’s have to be hating it, I am sure many truckers aren’t going there now due to all the traffic.

They’re in the process of creating a significant footprint across the Southeast. AL, GA, TN, KY, FL, probably others.
