A plus-size travel social media influencer demanded that airlines better accommodate larger passengers when traveling.
Jae’lynn Chaney from Vancouver, Washington, started the Change.org petition “Demand for the FAA to Protect Plus-Sized Customers,” detailing several demands to ensure larger passengers can fly without issues.
Chaney kicked off the petition claiming she and her fiancé were subjected to discrimination on a recent flight from Pasco, WA to Denver — which roughly takes just over 2 hours.

Quite the opposite, people in her size class should be required to purchase two seats because they take up two full seats
Anyone who has had to fly in a non stop cross country flight in the middle seat between two “plus size” passengers understands
In all fairness the seats should be bigger for everyone. Like in the old days
I hadn’t flown for 35 years until 2021
Even comfort class seemed tight and I’m not all that big anymore
Stop feeding your piehole and Live.
Political correctness (now having matured into fullblown totalitarian communism) still does NOT trump gravity and other laws of physics.
Sorry fat people. Try losing weight.
She not only wants free wide seats, she wants to be pushed there in a wheelchair if necessary.
What about the health comfort and safety of the poor man who is supposed to wheel her 400 lbs into place?
she’s not “plus-sized”
she’s fat. there’s a difference.
As a long time fatty I can tell you that there is no time that you can travel without issues. It is not the responsibility for the airlines to mitigate your lack of self control. Airplanes are entirely governed by mass or weight if you will and you can’t ignore that fact. Want to travel without issues? Lose weight.
I’ve sat between two behemoths once who spilled into my seat forcing me to try to squeeze myself into a little area.
I do not care that you are morbidly obese. You still have not paid for my seat
Yes, I do choose my seats now and forever.
Plenty of room in the cargo hold…
Charge them like they do excess baggage - by the pound...
I recently had this nightmare come true when an obese man arrived to claim the aisle seat where I was seated in the middle. I had already put the armrest down, and when he sat his hip enveloped it. I told him we could put the armrest up for his comfort. He jokingly said the seatbelt “almost fit” then asked for an extender. I had to move waaaaay over towards the window seat passenger, somewhat invading her space . Thank God she was not obese, and thank God it was only a 2 hour flight!
She be thicker than a snicker. Sorry, that's a two seat requirement.
You’re not “plus-sized”, you’re a fat cow with little to no discipline or genuine self-esteem.
I loathe folks who think that because they are big, they are special. I know folks with glandular issues that are large, but they recognize that even though they have no control over their size, they are not entitled to encroach or impede others. They are among the emotionally strongest people I know, because they dealt with this from a young age and GREW from it.
