America has stronger foundations than Rome ever knew, and those foundations not only seem to be holding, many Americans are rediscovering those foundations in the midst of a modern contest for the soul of the nation.Americans are indeed pushing back against the project to destroy the USA and are rediscovering the foundations of America, but we are in the late stages of a fight to the death. Is it possible to save the nation at this late date? It's a race against time -- the evil leftist destruction vs. the awakening of Americans to the existential threats. Can patriotic Americans do something fast enough and substantive enough to stop the leftist project?
The author is full of encouragement, but there are still voting machines all over the country connected to the internet. I will be encouraged only if I wake up the morning after the Midterms and there really was a Red Wave according to officially counted votes.
I think the ‘Rats can cheat enough to turn the Red Wave into a Red Ripple.
Then, of course, Ripple gets a bad name today. In its own day, which I well remember, it was not so bad. ;-)

I believed that, because it made sense historically and because of his towering intellect, but I couldn't imagine how it could possibly come about, and I thought it would happen only in the far distant future.
Now I see it unfolding before my eyes.

Corruption in the Federal Government is ubiquitous and alarming.
US politicians are willing to sell America to the highest bidder.
Hollywood movies, TV programs, and popular culture spew filth everywhere.
US cities are hellholes of violence, drug abuse, and crime. Their sidewalks and parks are littered with human excrement, drug paraphernalia, and loiters.
American culture has sunk to the level of the Roman decadent period.
American schools teach students to hate their country. They also teach explicit sex.
And the worst thing of all is that millions of Americans DON'T CARE--either that, or they are TOO STUPID to understand what's happening.
Unfortunately this is an accurate assessment of where America is at right now. The best thing that could happen at this point would be splitting America into Red America and Blue America (doubtless someone will come up with more creative names) and letting each take its course.
Oh don’t worry, when Texas secedes the noble states of The Rust Belt will form up an army of UAW “workers”, Detroit welfare dependents, Philadelphia clip artists and DC bureaucrats to march South and enforce Lincoln’s claim.

America, like Rome, was founded as a republic.
Rome didn’t become Imperial until Octavius defeated his rivals to his adopted father Julius seat and then became Augustus Ceasar.
They did 600+ years as a Republic, and 500 years as an Empire.
Perhaps it’s our Heavenly Father’s reaction when free will turns to immorality and decadence.

If we have an all-powerful central government then all of us fall. If we have power shared between it and the states, basically there are 51 entities and all of them aren’t going to fall.
