Inca-era tomb unearthed beneath home in Peru’s capital

Scientists have unearthed an Inca-era tomb under a home in the heart of Peru’s capital, Lima, a burial believed to hold remains wrapped in cloth alongside ceramics and fine ornaments.

The lead archeologist, Julio Abanto, told Reuters the 500-year-old tomb contained “multiple funerary bundles” tightly wrapped in cloth.

He said those entombed were probably from the elite of Ruricancho society, a culture that once populated present-day Lima before the powerful Inca came to rule a sprawling empire across the length of western South America in the 1400s.

Might explain why they were waking up to find the chairs piled onto the kitchen table.

“Surprise find”

I guess being chased around the house by an apparition in rooster feathers and a panther tooth necklace didn’t tip the home owner off earlier.

For those that don’t know about Incas and medicine...they are the precursor to Plaquenil.

I have used Cinchona bark for a number of uses. You have to be aware of your liver and kidney and heart as possible issues with that as with all medicines..ahem..COX2 inhibitors that keep getting pulled.

I now am eligible for Plaquenil unfortunately but anyone who deals with possible autoimmune issues should check out carefully Cinchona bark (and maybe for COVID)

It might be for you or you could be barking up the wrong tree.

LOLOL

I had never heard of it until the owner of a conspiracy site indicated he credited Cinchona Bark for saving him from a bad bout of Covid

I used it for neuropathy and it helped.

It has quinine in it. Didn’t know that. I take anti-rejection meds. I don’t know what effect cinchona would have if I tried it, so I will just file it away for now.
It sounds like something good to have in one’s “health arsenal”.
Thanks for the info!

oh yeah...you have to be especially careful...but dont expect any Dr to understand cinchona bark...lolol

you can get it in bark form and make tea - which apparently is pretty bad. someone here told me about Penn Herbs in PA and that is where I got it.

When I used it I took the viewpoint of using it every three days in the hopes it wouldn’t jack up my liver or kidneys and drank lots of water.

Dirt is not a fixed commodity. The world is always making more of ith Plants get into cracks, they live and extend the cracks eventually crumbling walls. When they die they compost. storms toss debris on top of it all and you get more compost, more broken stone, etc etc. Over centuries stuff gets buried.

In the case of Ancient Rome, the forum was built in a low swampy area between the hills and the Romans drained it to build the famed forum, the heart of the empire. When Rome fell, the drains went into disrepair, clogged, and the forum returned to swampy mess. Eventually the debris was such that it formed a hard surface that people could walk and build on and only the very tops of the 20 or 30 foot Roman columns stuck through.

Nature doesn't care about our architectural triumphs. Time and entropy are all it needs to tear them all down and bury them 100 feet deep.
