A viral petition to "impeach Nancy Pelosi for crimes of treason" has gained an incredible 330,000 signatures since it was launched.The official White House website-hosted "We the People" petition was started by Georgia resident and citizen activist Marjorie Taylor Greene last year.Greene is accusing the Democratic House speaker of committing treason and calls for Pelosi's impeachment.

If I understand correctly, I think constitutional expel of a lawmaker needs 2/3 supermajority vote of respective House.

Petition should have been for House to expel Pelosi instead of impeaching her. That would have gotten the attention of every representative.

Also, Florida Rep. Gaetz questions if Pelosi is helping to finance campaigns of incumbents.

However, the Constitution creates the Office of the Speaker of the House. . .

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.—Article 1, Section 2

And delivering any official document to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, is an official act, performed at her official position, at her Official desk, during an Official Duly Constituted meeting of that body, is delivering that document to that body. Ergo, Snopes and its cited legal authorities, making those who claim that the Speaker of the House is not an Official, partisanly and, ahem, officially and Constitutionally DEAD WRONG.
