Weird. People do get addicted to the strangest things.
Drudge was once my home page, but that ended years ago, and I rarely if ever click on the site anymore.
Didn’t have withdrawal symptoms, either!
I never ‘got’ the reason people were enamored with Drudge, even before he turned into whatever the heck he is now.
The guy only posts links to stories he finds interesting. He doesn’t analyze (although he apparently likes to be anal ized) or provide any ‘value added’ commentary.
FR is generally even better at providing breaking news, and the commenters here often add a LOT of useful additional information or analysis.
Heck, even Lucianne.com is usually a better source than Drudge.
Using Ghostery browser will really help you with Liberty Daily. They still block half the page if you don’t allow “a few” through. Without Ghostery, I could read Liberty Daily.
Whatfinger.com is better than Drudge ever was. Try it once and there’s no turning back.
Yes, Drudge made a hard left turn. It used to be a part of my morning read. And still is. Someone suggested it be replaced with “The Liberty Daily”, so that’s a daily read too.
Drudge is kept to get some idea what the left is thinking. It’s always good to know what turncoats are up to, Drudge being one, Romney another as examples.
I’m “Krug” and I’m a Drudgeaholic. I’ve been going to that site compulsively for years, my go to site. But...for the past couple of years I’ve noticed how slanted they are. I read their posts, feel depressed, then go for clarification on other sites. Drudge has really become ABC, or NBC, no worse, MSNBC. I’d like to find just a plain old “just the facts” news site, but I don’t think the type of journalism even exists. Help me.

I, too, ha a hard time divorcing myself from drudge, but I got use to it, I now go to Citizens Free Press

I’m the opposite. I find the format cumbersome and non user friendly, and there’s too much “stuff” for distractions. I think FR has the easiest format for following comments — forward and backward — and good search capabilities. I love the basic, non-glitz style.
I know Treehouse has good info.
Breitbart, NewsMax, Citizen Free Press, Whatfinger, Conservative Tree house, Conservative Review, Liberty Daily (can’t stand the ads though), and after I breeze through them I come to Free Republic to get the insight and analysis and humor. That is my morning while I’m drinking coffee and watching the sun come up over the Juniper trees behind my house
I deleted the site from my browser history, and now, when I reflexively open a browser tab throughout the day, it doesn’t show up automatically, so that is my training process to re-train my mind to stop going there.
I also deleted the Drudge Report app from my phone.
Done with Drudge.

It’s easy to skip him...just remember that he’s a rabid homosexual that hates Trump, We the People, and America.
I think he goes to where he perceives the money is. Remember, Ann Coulter is his best friend and she has been awfully quiet lately.
