There have been many stories told of secret, hidden possessions that were buried away during years of war or turmoil.
Though they remained still and unseen for decades, their eventual unearthing is always suspenseful.
One man has returned “home” to search for family possessions that his father once hid away right before they were forced to evacuate the country.
His father had taught him a special way of finding the hidden objects, but it wasn’t easy to retrieve them. Seven decades after he last saw them, it was hard to tell whether the items had survived through years of wear and tear.
Thankfully, the objects, which had remained untouched since the years after World War II, were recovered and found to be intact. The Daily Mail spoke with some of those who were involved in the discovery.

Always amazing to hear the German lamentations about how they were treated poorly in the aftermath of the war. What did they expect? A slap on the back, and forgive and forget?

No doubt. But the Czechs committed mass murders of civilians, ethnic cleansing and other crimes against humanity against the Sudeten Germans. It’d be nice if they could at least acknowledge that maybe that was wrong. We’re not talking Nazi cadres here. We’re talking anybody who happened to be born there in a German family.....including kids including grannies, etc.

True, most of the high level nazis were relieved to see him go. He was a loose cannon and sociopath that put them to shame.
I suspect that’s why there were the rumors of him having Jewish relatives.

It was a grand total of 250k people. The wildest estimates are 270k. So the expulsion of the Germans was not even close to the greatest. Several inside the USSR were much bigger. The Taters from Crimea and the expulsion of the Kulaks are two. There is the Armenian genocide. About three times that many Jewish people immigrated from Europe and arab countries to Israel in the aftermath of WWII. Then of course, around 14 million were forced to relocate during the Pakistani/Indian partition. And speaking of mass migration in the 20th century, there is the Mexican migration to America, and the 2 million Vietnamese who migrated at the end of the war.
German sturm and drang is amazing. Their suffering is always the worst...at least in their minds.
To quote Shylock from "The Merchant of Venice"....

It wasn’t wrong. Somewhere around 20 million died in in the Holocaust according to Rummel. It is perfectly rational to expel the people of that culture in the regaining of control of Europe. Regardless of individual guilt, I would support the deportation of -all- moslems from the USA and get us back to where we were in the 80s when meeting one was a rare curiosity.
And those Sudeten Germans welcomes the German army Anschluss lining the streets and waving flags. I doubt the Czechs forgot that.

Probably so. Europe is so shaken up and mixed up now it’s ridiculous to assert pure blooded anything as a practical matter.
It allowed Poland to be almost 100% Polish.
Something the EU is trying to rectify.
It would make sense as a source of the Jewish rumor about him. And if did have a jewish background, it would explain him being the most ruthless of all... to prove to anyone looking of his loyalty.
Lots of that kind of crap happened in the USSR also.
