What it does mean is they do have a launch date. We don't know what (T - x) or (Time minus x number of days) is. It's counting down to that date they set. It usually means it's within days not a lot of months.

What does it take for cloture? 3/5 Vote which is 60 if there are 100 Senators. It seems to me that the number would change, with the number present, but I’m not sure.

It depends on how the rules are written - Is it 3/5 of the Senators present? Or is it 3/5 of the Senators elected and sworn in?

At any rate, it only takes 51% to pass a bill - the stumbling block is the cloture rule, which must be passed in order to allow a vote.

That’s all I found so far. I don’t know how they can make it into a budget reconciliation bill - but that’s what Pelosi did in order to get the ACA passed and avoid the lack of 60 vote cloture.

Here is what I see. All four of these men have honorable reputations that are above reproach. Sessions has had a hard time of it but prior to being AG he was also respected and loved. All four have been trusted and pretty much loved by both sides. They will be perfect for the job because it would be difficult to find corruption (I think) and hard to take back their records and all of the praise they have given by both sides and the world.

I’m new to all of this so I’m probably all wrong about it but it was my first thought.
