followed by scattered light.....thanks Al Sleet....who’s final forecast was the weather will continue to change for a long long time.

And now here's Biff Barf with sports...

Biff: "Here's a partial score...Ohio State, 10 (long pause) and this just in CalTech 12.374, MIT 9.728"

Gas up. Live in the home and warm up in the vehicle.

Open Garage door if it applies. Monoxide poison and all.

If you have a gas cook stove it is time to do some early Christmas Baking and soup making. The extra humidity will make it seem warmer. Baking in the daylight, soups at night. Keep replenishing the liquid and it will keep heating the air.

At mom’s in Advance, NC just west of Winston-Salem. Nothing thus far. Just watched local weather, forecast has changed, now a secondary low forming that will mean snow/sleet/ice will continue into Monday. Forecast accumulation for here as of right now is 14.8” snow, .10” ice on top. There’s a band of icing south and east of here in NC that is forecast to get from .25” to .5” ice, and I hope that stays away. A quarter inch is enough to cause a lot of power outages, half an inch would be near disaster.

Over a foot of snow is a big deal even for Massholes, let alone Carolina.

Up here in the NC mountains it’s begun already. We’re expecting over two feet. My fight out of Charlotte for Monday has already been cancelled. Looks like we’re hunkering down.

Maybe we’ll watch The Shining...

There is always a cycle. We had our revolutionary war during one. Maybe our genes are telling us we need to work to survive the coming one? :) Or maybe it’s the Holy Spirit.

I was wondering the last week or so why thousands of seagulls head inland every morning. Kind of like Canadian geese but not so uniform in flight pattern and all following each other in strewn out bunches. There are BIG gulls intermixed. Groups are probably families like the stupid starlings up north. Anywho, I wonder about lots of things.

My biggest concern is overturning Roe. Biblical consequence for nationally legalized child sacrifice is invasion and conquest. God does not forgive nations for legalizing baby sacrifice. He loves babies.

Lots of snow depends on the type of snow. Powder blows around. Wet snow is heavy and breaks things. Shoveling it is a PITA. I use a broom with powder.

I personally loved waking up to fresh snow almost every morning in the Green Mountains of VT (while I took pooches for walk) where a couple of inches was nothing and it accumulated...not melting. Everything was clean every morning. Got to be about 2 feet or more deep in untrekked areas.

I also liked the air being so cold (probably when in West Chicago or Wheaton IL) that the frost was sparkling in the air. And I love winter light, too. sigh.

Just watch the hysteria in Assachusetts the next time an ‘F1 tornado’ knocks over a 30-gallon trash barrel in downtown Worcester...LOL!

Nothing in SW Va...
Funny, the weather maps say we’ve been getting “wintry mix” for the last hour!
It’s coming though. Ready to lose power for a day or so. Not looking forward to it .
