I know its hard to pick just one, Ill give you that....but I have to give it to "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band Aid.
(Dis)honorable mention goes to "The Christmas Shoes".
The McCartney song. They also need to have a three year moratorium on Carol of the Bells.
There's also a lot of very good Christmas music that never gets on the radio. I'll do another thread on one of them tonight. I will try to post one a night through Christmas.
Santa Baby.
Never could stand it. The George Michael one too. Nausea inducing.
I like ‘em all during December ... except the Bob Dylan Christmas Album issued a few years ago which I think is prohibited from being aired under the Geneva Convention’s prohibition regarding torture.
So this is Cristmas - John Lennon
“So this is Christmas and what have you done?”
Anything written after the year 1900.
Most anything by a “modern pop singer”.
So this is Christmas. John Lennon. Nuff said
Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer is pretty close to obnoxious.................
><
You beat me to it. Totally awful.
Any Christmas song sung by Barbra Streisand. Another Self-Loathing Jew trying to “blend in” with the Goyim. Feh!
Santa Baby.
Anything sung by Mariah Carey.
Wham or Ashley Tinsdale?
Last Christmas.
so many bad ones.
John Lennon - Happy Christmas (war is over) - just awful
Grandma got runover - horrible
Santa baby 1 and 2
and others I don’t even want to remember
The Chipmonk song!
My kid sister got it for Christmas the year it came out. She wanted to hear it over and over, so rather than have her running to mess with the stereo every three minutes, Dad lifted the arm that rested on top of the records before they dropped, and it would repeat automatically........ALL DAY LONG!!
Twelve home invasions of Kwansaa ...
Yep, agreed. Collectively they do a lousy job b with Christmas music. They should stick to rock and roll or pop or whatever they call this modern music.
Gotta agree with the OP, since the vast majority of its intended subject has zero interest in Christmas.
I detest all of the nightclub or dance versions of this song. Fugly. I'm even avoiding the Mathis version nowadays.
But, I'm old, and I prefer Christmas songs about Christ.
