Florida "Mail-in" vote totals as listed on the Florida SOS Elections Web Site on the Internet, 10/13/2018. Republicans increasing their lead.
Republicans - 129,154 votes cast & recorded. Democrats - 101,334 votes cast & recorded. Others - 1,623 cast & recorded. No Party Affiliation - 49,334 votes cast & recorded.
Republicans leading Democrats by a margin of 27,829 votes. Republicans have led from day one and are increasing their vote lead with every passing day.
However it is far too early to establish how this all ends up. We will have a much clearer picture about ten days down the road. The current trend does not bode well for the entire Democrat Party of Florida, since the Republicans have easily led on everyday that voting has occurred.
Don’t get excited, the Libs are right now driving around with trunks full of ballots waiting to find out how many will be needed to win.
My sentiments exactly. The title is by default. He was basically a ride along and less of an "astronaut" than Barfin' Jake Garn.

2016 voting for a little bit of perspectice. I’d agree with poster that this is somewhat encouraging but really tough to tell this early.
Also just to define these numbers. In FL you can either vote “by mail” (absentee) or “vote early” in person at a polling location. Anyone can choose either of these voting methods, it is purely choice if you want to vote by mail, early or on election date. Early voting at a polling location will not start until the last week of October for most counties in FL.

We need to get rid of all this voting... No more mail-in/absentee, early voting, etc. Have one day of voting with purple finger ink. National holiday, with the polls open all day, so no one can have the excuse of work not giving them time. Hell, make it ‘two’ days - opens at noon on day one, and closes at noon on day two.
The ONLY people who can vote outside of this is military absentees, and maybe people with a doctor’s note about medical condition (surgery or accident) scheduled/happening on that day. With the signing doc 100% liable for fraud conducted by that person.

By golly you are right! Gillum is to the left of Fidel Castro. I know from 5 decades of being a political junkie, polls are pushed and pulled and massaged. But Gillum leading in ALL POLLS IN FLORIDA so far? Fxxxxxing UNBELIEVABLE!!
Either the energy on the left is astronomical or the right is fat and happy and is in a deep state of slumber, in Florida. Something is not right in Florida.
Looks like Republicans held a steady 1-3% lead in early voting in Florida in 2016; this, if true, would be a HUGE improvement.
