Full title (17-year-old Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, performing Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe". Filmed at the Blue Canoe in Tupelo, Mississippi, by Stephane C. Jonathan, on Friday, March 17th 2017. )
That young man is phenomenal. WOW!!! Thanks very much for posting.
HOORAY Kingfish
Jimi didn’t write ‘Hey Joe’.
And the guy who wrote it couldn’t play it the way Hendrix did either.
“Jimi didnt write Hey Joe.”
Nor was he one of the first 10 acts to record it.
/bingo
Zappa once said in interview that Hendrix hit his height with “Manic Depression”, and I used to think that was bonkers, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve begun to see what he means.
Sidebar: my list of fave Hendrix tracks include “Hey Baby” (originally on “Rainbow Bridge”, re-released as part of one of the titles from the family regime), but not “Hey Joe”.
Holy cow! Thanks for posting this!
COME TO MY TOWN KINGFISH! TAKE MY MONEY!
You need to check out this kid.
Doesn't matter - Hendrix is the first thing that comes to mind for 99% of the people that would listen to "Hey Joe" - (of course there's that "1%"....)
Saw Alvin Lee encore with "Hey Joe" back in, maybe 74 - smoked it.

Excellent rendition of the song
Wonderful. I thought of a young, black version of Pappa Chubby. But this youngster is his own version.
Definitely the kid has talent......
Hendrix died at the age of 28 from drugs.......this kid is obese at the young age of 17 and if he continues on the same track, he'll be dead before 35........
My buddy told me about Kingfish, he played the North Atlantic Blues festival.
Here is Ana Popovic...

Great guitarist, but he needs singer to stand in for the vocals/lyrics.
I've still got my original vinyl LP from the early 70s.
I've got a second copy I picked up new in 1989. It's still in the shrink wrap.
I saw that video once before. KingFish has CrayCrayCrazy skills!
