Did we vote for Republicans for this?! No debate, just rolled on everything the campaigned against. They sold us out. How will they explain their votes?

And, importantly, what is the chance that President Trump will veto it? If he doesn't, what does this mean for his promises, since it undermines many?

Seems to me the most important objective for the Trump administration would be keeping a republican majority after the upcoming midterm election.

Does passage of the spending bill help or hurt that objective? I don’t know. Wall funding can wait for 6 months or so.

Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill?

Yes. Mike Pence was in NH yesterday and was on local talk radio extolling the wonders of the bill. He was keying in on money for the opioid epidemic, military expenditures, money for border enforcement and pushing the not so pleasant aspects as "having to deal with democrats" and a "what can anyone do" brush off.

If Trump signs it, it’s his stamp of approval.

This is not the hill to make a stand on. The traitor Ryan and his RINO pimps betrayed Trump and his supporters. Ryan will be gone next year, and hopefully more Trump supporters will be voted into the US House.

Yes. He doesn’t want to have a government shutdown he can’t blame the Democrats for.

Trump will lose about 1/3 of his momentum and about 1/4 of his supporters if he signs this without a fight. As others have noted, it is apparent that the RNC and GOP are hoping to be the minority party in 2019 so they they cannot be blamed for failing to help Drain the Swamp. Primary them all out, every 2 years, for the next decade. Period.

I think I'll keep my powder dry for now. Its possible Trump has exposed the rats in the cornfield with this bill. Using the wall and DACA as reasons for a Veto will expose traitors on both sides and just might be brilliant.

I’m already going to stay home in November this year. Trumps signs it and I’m staying home in 2020, too.

"If he doesn't, what does this mean for his promises, since it undermines many?"

Noting that I gladly voted for Pres. Trump and do not regret doing so, please consider the following from related threads.

While on the campaign trail, constitutionally low-information Trump evidently did not understand that the Oval Office is constitutionally “married” to Congress. He consequently got everybody’s hopes too high with respect to what he would be able to do in his first two years in office since he’s hopefully temporarily stuck with a corrupt, obstructionist Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration.

In other words, Trump’s first two years in office are arguably for practice.

And it's actually up to us patriots to finish the job that we started by electing Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are Trump-supporting, state sovereignty-respecting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.

And until the states wake up and repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.
