Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill? [Vanity]
Self ^ | March 23, 2018 | Self

Wow, Omnibus bill rushed through both House and Senate without discussion, now to President Trump. Not just the balance of the year, but for many items, for the next three years! Planned Parenthood, token amount for wall and prohibition to build further, funding for sanctuary cities, funding for ObamaCare, new 2nd amendment infringements, and more.

My number is based on the congresscritters in the GOP who voted against this crap spending bill.

The problem is they knew it would pass when they voted no. It’s all beltway theater intended to dupe the base. Certainly anybody in Congress who supported McConnell and Ryan owns this pile of garbage.

“I don’t think they truly care what our opinions are.”

I think many congressmen and senators are bought off with pork. For instance one of them might prefer to fund the wall, but even worse he needs a chunk of money for that bridge in his state.

That’s not totally true. We’ve gotten a bunch of federal judiciary appointments, tax cuts and Obamacare mandate repeal. But yeah, we should have a lot more for delivering them both Congressional chambers and the White House.

Unfortunately, the filibuster in combination with our progressive hyper-partisan media has turned GOP reps into quislings. They’re literally scared crap-less of shutdowns unless the Democrats insist on a clear electoral loser for them, like deportation protections for aliens. They surrender all their leverage to the progs ahead of time, and it’s any wonder why we never get a real budget.

Trump has to have the stones to say the government shuts down until they send him a budget that reflects the priorities of what people elected the majorities to do. And, if it needs to shut down for the next 7 years, so be it. They will fold, eventually. Government workers are a key constituency of the left. They can only go so long without paychecks.

Don’t take it personal please, I never intended to use the Never-Trumper label on anyone other than the swamp creatures who earned the label 2 years ago and then, when confronted with President Trump tried to blend in to the wood-work (forgive the mixed metaphors).

I don’t see this so much about Congress supporting Trump as I do about Congress standing up for those voters who elected them. That’s the way it’s supposed to work, yet, it’s a broken system of greed, lobbyist and special-interests on both sides. By using DACA and the wall to justify a veto, the president is exposing DemocRat traitors as well as the RINOs. Judging from history, a veto would likely be over-ridden but, just maybe, they’ll go back to the drawing board to protect their phony-baloney jobs.

What good is a military that does not protect the USA from foreign invasion?

We are being invaded and colonized.

I’m already going to stay home in November this year. Trumps signs it and I’m staying home in 2020, too.

In exchange for this 6 month temporary Congressional spending orgy President should get the following:
  1. Immediate end to the Mueller Russian investigation/ witch hunt.
  2. Appointment of special prosecutor to investigate the FICA abuse and fbi/cia/nsa conspiracy.
  3. Fire Sessions w/o any political ramifications
  4. Immediate approval of Bolton
  5. Fast track judges
  6. A parade with 300 M-1a tanks down Pa. Ave.

Or a shutdown.

Seems to me the most important objective for the Trump administration would be keeping a republican majority after the upcoming midterm election.

With votes like this, they do NOT deserve the majority.

"If he doesn't, what does this mean for his promises, since it undermines many?"

Noting that I gladly voted for Pres. Trump and do not regret doing so, please consider the following from related threads.

While on the campaign trail, constitutionally low-information Trump evidently did not understand that the Oval Office is constitutionally “married” to Congress. He consequently got everybody’s hopes too high with respect to what he would be able to do in his first two years in office since he’s hopefully temporarily stuck with a corrupt, obstructionist Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration.

In other words, Trump’s first two years in office are arguably for practice.

And it's actually up to us patriots to finish the job that we started by electing Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are Trump-supporting, state sovereignty-respecting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.

And until the states wake up and repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.

I don’t really agree with most of what you wrote. I too am an early and consistent Trump supporter but never shy to say No. You hit is spot on the nail, as I have been writing over the past month or so, we need to elect Trump Republicans. Throw out these fakes, even if it means putting a Democrat in the slot for an election cycle. Time to clean house and kick them out. That is why, here in Nevada, I will ignore Trump’s endorsement of Heller, will vote for anyone else, even if in November it means a Democrat. No second chances for these lying, conspiring Never Trumpers.

Immediate approval of Bolton

Not necessary. Trump can appoint whoever he wants as NSA. He only needed a yes from Congress with McMaster, because McMaster was still in the military. Otherwise, the NSA can be anyone.

You’re not aware that the National Security Advisor doesn’t need Senate approval? Hmmm.
