Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill? [Vanity]
Self ^ | March 23, 2018 | Self

Wow, Omnibus bill rushed through both House and Senate without discussion, now to President Trump. Not just the balance of the year, but for many items, for the next three years! Planned Parenthood, token amount for wall and prohibition to build further, funding for sanctuary cities, funding for ObamaCare, new 2nd amendment infringements, and more.

They could not wait to vote for stabbing us in the back. I am so depressed about this

Kellyanne Conway was just on Fox and Friends, trying (unsuccessfully) to spin this into some kind of win.

It’s not a win if the wall isn’t funded, and the wall isn’t funded. I don’t blame Trump because, obviously, this is the best he was going to get - I blame our utterly useless, neutered, incompetent (and let’s not forget corrupt) Congress, which seems utterly incapable of doing anything that the people want, and whose biggest accomplishment is to pat themselves on the back because they managed to sell out and stop the government from shutting down (as if that would be a BAD thing).

Very frustrated.

Yes, if he signs it he’s “one and done” or even less.

Oh, nonsense.

Wall funding can wait for 6 months or so.

There will never be a "Wall." There will never be immigration "reform." Open borders will continue until Whites are a minority. Massive, out of control deficit spending and borrowing will continue until national bankruptcy. The masses will be "equal": Equally poor.

There is only one political party: The Government Party and its ruling functionaries - the Deep State and Corporate Multi-Nationals. Your "vote" is irrelevant. The 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th Amendments to the Constitution are irrelevant. This used to be called "Fascism."

It's all over but the shouting. The sooner people realize the truth about where this former free Republic is going the better off they will be. Look to your own.

Oh, nonsense.

Great counter-argument there. The "oh" gives it stand-out flavor.

Will Trump Sign the Omnibus Bill?

Yes. Mike Pence was in NH yesterday and was on local talk radio extolling the wonders of the bill. He was keying in on money for the opioid epidemic, military expenditures, money for border enforcement and pushing the not so pleasant aspects as "having to deal with democrats" and a "what can anyone do" brush off.

If Trump signs it, it’s his stamp of approval.

This is not the hill to make a stand on. The traitor Ryan and his RINO pimps betrayed Trump and his supporters. Ryan will be gone next year, and hopefully more Trump supporters will be voted into the US House.

It is clear that Trump cannot control the overal apparatus of the government.

It is too large and sprawling and too dead set against him.

Soros wins.

Don’t give him an out. What the worst that happens if he doesnt? Virtually nothing. If it’s a bad budget, then veto it. Otherwise, his signature means he approves it.

Yes. He doesn’t want to have a government shutdown he can’t blame the Democrats for.

Few supporters will abandon him. They will rationalize his signing.

It only becomes effective if Trump signs it. You not voting for him in 2020 if he does?

By simply replying “Oh, nonsense,” I am being tersely dismissive of your silly assertion that Trump is “done” because he didn’t somehow accomplish the impossible and make Congress vote in a way that reflected the wishes of their constituents. Fair minded people would realize that Trump would not settle for this if it was not the best “deal” he thought he was going to get. Fair minded people would put the blame where it belongs - squarely on the shoulders of our worthless Congress.

Too many people on Free Republic are willing - and suspiciously eager - to throw the President under the bus, and I’m sick of the negative mindset of a lot of people here. It’s time to have a little trust. President Trump is smarter than all of us put together.

He is the ONLY one fighting for US.

So putting us under an additional mountain of debt is fighting for us? You made my point. As I said, it will be rationalized as being ok.

It doesn’t make a difference. Schumer and pelosi both said they got more of what the wanted with the republicans in the majority than when the dems were in the majority. Think about that for a minute then tell me what difference the election makes... of course Trump will roll over and sign it he has never pretended he doesn’t like big government or that he is a conservative. All the promises are out the window. No wall, we still have Obamacare, planned parenthood is still butchering babies with our tax dollars and as an added bonus we have eroded the second amendment further. Yup I’m tired of the winning /s

Yup. And we could have elected a real conservative this time but everyone ran after the shiny object and elected a reality tv star instead

We need to de-fund the Army. It is used as a globalist tool while our own border is trampled upon. A standing army is a domestic threat to freedom. It is just there for intimidation purposes.

We need a very strong omnipresent Navy but the Army needs to die.
