Beyoncé and Jay-Z have taught their daughter, Blue Ivy, the importance of investing in art.

On Saturday night, the 6-year-old made several bids on art while sitting between her mega-star parents at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles. The second annual event, put on by Tina Knowles and husband Richard Lawson, benefits the WACO Theater Center.

During the swanky event, little Blue Ivy, who was wearing a matching gold dress like her mother, bid $17,000 on an acyclic painting of Sidney Poitier, reports Vanity Fair. Excited to make another bid, she lifted her paddle again raising the bar to $19,000.

“Her mother and father have been talking about how you gather art and that is a big deal for African Americans,” auction host Star Jones explained to the audience.

But the evening also had some serious notes. Beyoncé, along with Jay-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, were recognized for their humanitarian work. Michelle Obama even sent a video message honoring the pop star.

I am so sick of the celbrity idol worship in this country. The fact these two demons are so belived by most in this nation is abhorant.

For how many 3rd world dictators, thugs, kleptocrats, and mass murderers have Bouncy & Jizz-y performed in exchange for multi-million dollar paydays?

Look up phony, and these two talentless & clueless knotheads appear.

I’ve never understood how people can pay thousands of dollars to what amounts to colorful doodling on a canvas.

My 6-year-old wanders around garage sales, and people give her stuff just to get rid of it. She brought home a stuffed crow yesterday: not a plush toy, an actual, preserved crow.

So her racist parents are teaching her to be racist about art?
Maybe some day she’ll have a portrait as nice as Mooschelle’s, har har.

Oh fun! I’d be scared bugs would run out of it. But my daughter would be also quite impressed. Loves to find a dead lizard etc.

Interesting. I wouldn’t have thought that a 6 year old could bid at an auction - that being a contractual agreement to purchase and sell - which is limited to people the age of majority.

You would think the cats might really love it. Like love it to oblivion, hint hint...

Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised to find feathers and yuck on the floor, if Kathleen doesn’t keep it put up.

Too bad that the NY Post can't afford to hire an editor, huh...

Kind of reminds me of when Chelsea Clinton said she, “has no concept of money”.
