That’s quite something to think about. I was always amazed that I could talk to my Grandmother and hear second-hand stories from her mother, about the Civil War.

I am 66 , but my mother’s father was born in 1868 just three years after the end of the civil war.

He was 51 when my mother was born in 1919.

I dated one of his descendants in the early 70s. She was gorgeous.

My GG Grandfather who rode with Boylstons Mississippi cavalry at Vicksburg etc had a late in life family and his last of 23 total children just died a few years ago in her early 90s

Thomas Raspberry Byrd had three of his last children in his 70s pre ED dope

Three wives he outlived the first two

saw an article on this a year or two ago. The remarkable thing to me is that John Tyler was born in the late 1700’s.
Not many people alive can claim to have a grandparent from that century.

Jefferson Davis was married to a daughter of John Tyler, but she died.

So what. My nephew is the 12th generation male in one line in the U.S. 365 years across the generations.

Have a kid, break the record!

My Dad was born on 1892 and my son was born in 1999. Grandfather and grandson have already lived in three different centuries and, if God wills it, we could hit four different centuries.

1700s...

1800s

1900s

2000s

That’s 4 centuries.

What was the most advanced technology of the 1700s? The typewriter? Horse and buggy?

We still have people living lifestyles like in the 1700s, up in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
