Minnesota Vikings 23, Green Bay Packers 10: Vikings Dominate Border Battle
Minneapolis Star Trribune ^ | 10/15/17 | Ben Goessling

Posted on 10/15/2017 6:58:16 PM PDT by OneVike

OK for the sake of this post, I could give a rat's ass what anyone thinks about the NFL right now. However, never has any of my Viking players ever taken a knee during the national anthem in support of this stupid' "I demand To Be Noticed For My racist belief". So, that being said, I have also nit watched any games nor sports shows about the NFL. The only games I watch are my Viking games. I have the NFL Ticket. I TIVO my game and fast forward all the commercials and even skip the half time. I could not even tell you who else won or loss.

That being said, I am feeling GREAT today that the dreaded Packers are feeling my PAIN!

Look, my team has lost two QB's and two RB's in the last two years, and to hear Troy Atman say that the Green Bay Packer's have been hit the hardest by loosing Rodgers, I want to puke!

Mind you, Aaron Rodgers grew up in the town I have live in for the last 29 years, Chico California. Aaron even graduated from the same High School my nephew graduated from, Pleasant Valley High School. AS and aside, the team mascot for Pleasant Valley, is a Viking. seriously. However since the Packers drafted him, I feel like I have been living in Green Bay Wisconsin. For a Viking Fan who grew up in Duluth Minnesota, that's like living NFL HELL!

Maybe some kind of Reprogramming
Or Rehabilitation ...

I’m watching
VARSITY BLUES
And enjoying it.

Seems it’s 180 degrees out from what we are experiencing with the death and utter destruction of an American Sport.

Plus, he didn’t build the stadium. He was just the coach. So again, do not blame him.

You must have missed the part about their locking arms in solidarity. This is just another way of doing the knee bit only they don’t hit the ground. It’s not different, it means the same thing. It still disrespects the people that died or suffered for them so they think they can accomplish something they have not accomplished as they are doing it wrong. Their acts are not the answer. And if you’re not part of the answer, you’re part of the problem.

I and a couple of my friends can remain in a defiant position during the Anthem and scream for the stop of world hunger. Is it going to do anything? Not until I go to someone and try to get them to do something about it. And the NFL players have not done anything other than disrespect those that the players don’t deserve to talk to, let alone try to gain respect by standing on them. Gutless.

We are in the middle of a culture war for the soul of this country. Why would you post this here? I’m sure there are Vikings forums elsewhere that give a crap about the NFL.

Green Bay now needs a QB to replace Rodgers. Might Kaepernick finally get a job?

Nope. There are plenty of journeymen QB that can do the job. I predict the Pack will trade for someone's backup or something.

This is the 2nd broken collarbone by Rodgers though

Aaron Rogers took a knee after getting his collarbone broken. For once, it was earned.

How many times have the Vikings been to the Superbowl?

No offense, but neither Bridgewater or his Bradford are 25% of what Rodgers is. He is a top 10 all time QB. He does things no one else can do. I like your two guys a lot, but losing Rodgers is immeasurable. I despise his political idiocy this year, but on the field, he is the team.

Colon Kapernick and his muslim, marxist girlfriend do not respect our country, military, citizens or liberty. They do seem to respect Cuba, comunism and the Castros. Kind of upside down and backwards when they could just move to utopia Cuba.

How many times have the Vikings been to the Superbowl?

I believe about 4 times, all in the 1970s.

The real question is, have they WON.

Nope

"Who cares." = My thoughts exactly. That was literally the first thing that popped into my mind.

The nfl, its "games", their "scores", the players are ALL totally irrelevant and utterly meaningless.

The nfl has become like the ancient gladiatorial games, the Circus Maximus; the famous gladiators and the charioteers of "renoun" from the ancient Romance Empire.

Their arenas are nothing but crumbling ruins and who can recall or name any of their "famous" gladiators or charioteers? The answer is no one! This is the fate that awaits the once "glorious" nfl:

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: `Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed. And on the pedestal these words appear --

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.'

Percy Bysshe Shelley

This is the future that awaits the nfl, and they destroyed it all with their own hands!

Exactly! Okay, you don’t like our nation, move to the one you respect more.

Quite trying to screw up the only nation we have.

Go with my blessing!

O boycott everything but my Viking game.

I used to watch the NFL 24/7. Seriously, but now I watch my Vikings, and nothing else.

So they lost 90% of my viewing time.
