I haven't. Do you believe in or not, and why.
We live in a house about 102 years old. No ghosts therein.
Once though, some 37 years ago, my wife was walking our daughter to kindergarten when she swears to this day that she saw my dad, who had recently died on the other side of the country, watching them both from across the street.
She was momentarily distracted and looked away for an instant. And when she looked back he was gone.
She’s never been prone to making things up, and these days we’re both pretty God centered.
Though still she says it’s true, and I have no reason to disbelieve her.
I have another story about my first cat, a beautiful siamese with violet eyes. I nursed her for a long time when she was sick, driving her 3 times a week to a favorite vet who had relocated 45 minutes from us. When her lungs filled with fluid, the doctor told me it was time to let her go. She died in my arms, I was heartbroken and cried all the way back home. Four days later I was at a real estate seminar, listening to the speaker when, all of sudden, I jerked back shocked..my kitty’ face had jumped in front of me, healthy, beautiful, a wonderful light shining behind every strand of fur, radiant. I can still see it as it happened that day and she has been gone 20 years.
Twice. Once a shadow on the wall of a woman brushing her hair. It disappeared after several seconds. My friend saw it, too. Another of a dark shadowy creature at the side of the bed hunched over my husband as he laid sleeping. I thought it was one of the kids at first and called out my child’s name. It turned and left the room. That’s when I realized it wasn’t one of the kids.
They are in the Bible
LOL!
well I understand and I wasn’t there . My inclination is that it was a self induced illusion but I am not here to argue. If a person says they see something I have no great power to know what they saw. I am merely applying undeniable impractical data there there has never been a provable ghost in the history of mankind. I have dreams about my father as well usually triggered by some eve4nt or object but he is gone.
No ghost. But in the late 70’s I, my brother, and two cousins did see a 3 foot tall white dog-like creature running on two legs. I don’t remember much about it except it had a dogs snout and the thin, bony lower legs of a dog. We were about 20 yards away and saw it for about 5 seconds. Scared the piss out om us.
Just a warning.......be careful if you investigate. You never know who ‘may come home’ with you. Not kidding.
Have seen “somethings.” Not sure what they were. Husband has seen/experienced at least one.
We had each been seeing a “something,” but did not know it until we compared notes while talking in the car.
My 5yo son and 4yo daughter saw Grandpa the morning of his death. “He looked like he had a light around him” . They have separate rooms with the doors closed. 5:30 ish in the morning. No words were spoken, although my daughter said she tried to hug him but “didn’t feel anything”
I got the call from my brother 2 hours later that Dad had a heart attack, and his last words were “I see angels” . This happened at 7:15am.
We live 300+ miles away. Yeah there’s an afterlife.
I believe I have. When I was in my teens, I was in our kitchen one afternoon and out of the corner of my eye I saw our front door open, a young girl in a white dress looked inside, and then she closed the door.
I didn’t really think about it as my sister often would visit my aunts in an apartment upstairs and go back and forth between the apartments. But just a beat after the door closed I thought that my sister doesn’t even have a white dress.
My brother was in the same room and we looked at each other and I said what was that? He saw the exact same thing. I checked the hallway quickly and all quiet. No other children in the apartment building.
Couldn’t be a hallucination if we both saw the same thing. I’m certain it was an apparition.
That is what I am thinking, as I live in north Phoenix, at the base of some hills. When we bought the house they told us there are hiking trails behind our small neighborhood, but to be careful since there are old mines scattered throughout. My son and I were hiking, went a bit off trail and found tailings from an old (closed) mine.
I have sleep paralysis often.
It’s absolutely terrifying.
There is always a “presence”, but I know nothing is there, that feeling that something is and not being able to move(you can but it takes a lot of will) is crazy.
My mother lived alone when she passed away, so the unfortunate news came to me by way of the police department. After a 9 hour drive to get to her hometown, and a long day of searching and securing the house, my wife and I were wiped out. But that evening, I told her I wanted to go to mall just to walk around and clear my head.
While we were there, we decided to get some ice cream. In my change was an old wheat penny (I'm an old coin collector, so it jumped out in my change). At first, I thought, 'Wow! Cool! A wheat penny! I haven't gotten one of those for a while." and like a true coin collector, flipped it over to check the date and the mint mark.
The year on the coin was 1944 -- the year my mother was born. I have zero doubt in my mind that that coin was a message from her that she was okay, and she wanted me to know that she was okay.
Yeah, it could have been an incredible coincidence, but there's no way you could ever convince me to the contrary. It's one of the most "valuable" coins in my collection.
I’ve experienced supernatural occurrences but never seen a ghost.
Was going to mention that: 1) disciples thought Jesus was a ghost when He was walking on water 2) Samuel and Saul. There are others.
Maybe not ghosts...
This. Not the best subject to ponder on.
