The “anti-fascists” were busy today, beavering away in opposition to free speech in Ottawa and using slings to throw rocks at police in Gothenburg.
It would be useful to step back from the specific actions of these antifas, and attempt to grasp the larger forces at work. But first let’s take a look at what happened today.
Regular readers have seen numerous translations here from the Czech and Slovak by Xanthippa, who relocated to Canada from Czechoslovakia when it was a Socialist Republic and the Iron Curtain was still in place. Xanthippa went to Parliament Hill in Ottawa this afternoon to speak at a free speech rally, which was beset — as such rallies always are — by violent “anti-fascist” protesters. She left this comment at our blog after she returned home:
Just came back from a Free Speech rally on Canada’s Parliament Hill.
About 30 to 50 of us, and the 500 or so (many paid for) Antifa/Labour Unions/Communists (yes, they were flying the Soviet flag) repeatedly tried to rush us and do us bodily harm.
RCMP, some in full riot gear, some with powerful-looking weapons, held them back, but the Antifa+ thugs kept rushing them, squeezing us into smaller and smaller area before ordering and escorting us off the Hill.
We could not even take our equipment with us, had to return for it ‘later’.
After she returned from the front lines on Parliament Hill, Xanthippa was interviewed about the day’s events:

The antifa are going to meet someone who will defend themselves effectively against their attacks.
We just watched an excellent special on Antifa, etc., on OAN. Here’s the description from the OAN web site:
“One America News Network, will be extending broad, national exposure to the documentary film “America Under Siege: Antifa”, a documentary film scheduled to debut at the beginning of the week long free speech event on the UC Berkeley campus.”
Antifa losers resemble PLO juveniles in many ways.
Apparently Antifa is going to be very active in the U.S. on November 4th.

That should have happened by now. I think those people who would defend themselves, except police, stay away from these events.
We may have to use or start up citizen militias, give them some civil disturbance training and equip and call them up when there are civil disturbances. Deputize them and with the police, arrest all of these alfa hotels.
Try doing a riot when faced with 5000 citizens who disagree...

A sling is a deadly weapon. The police would be justified in using lethal force to defend themselves and others.
Hey - this HAS happened. We had an event in Houston and the asshatFascists pretty much turned around and left when they saw our pistols and AR’s.
You could tell some of the police were sweating also - those that weren’t grinning at us.

I made slings when a kid, using leather thongs and the tongues from old shoes. Tried to hit cardboard box in backyard, with little success. Very difficult to get the timing right for the release to hit a specific target. ....Not difficult if just launching the rock to hit someone in a crowd.
Aunt-Teefah is going to be shocked when citizens begin responding with violence.
