Anyone else notice that many “news sites” have eliminated the Feedback option? It seems that the MSM was finding too often that their narrative was destroyed when it became obvious that the majority of those responding in their Feedback section were effectively destroying their stand that the majority actually shared their liberal views.
They don’t like their bandwidth being used to spread the truth.
Someone once told me that a majority of feedback is always going to be dissent.
They are literally quelling dissent, welcome to the brave new world of 1984...
I have noticed that, and I rarely visit those sites anymore. Why bother, when the real details of the story were always in the comment section.
I have heard that the LA Times has a policy not to print letters that are from “climate deniers.” Ads a frequent reader (free at my breakfast stop) I can say i never read a letter dissenting from the liberal meme.

I noticed something on YouTube.
Whenever there is a document about Hitler or the Third Reich, a majority of comments are pro-Nazi, ditto for videos about the Soviet Union, most comments are along the lines of “I wish the Soviet Union would return.”
Certain stories. Ones where illegals kill/rape white kids, and stories where blacks are not portrayed in 100% positive light. The CBS webshites and yahoo have done this.
True, but moreover I think they can’t stand knowing that the truth is out there, and it’s not what they’ve been saying it is. Cognitive dissonance. So, to resolve it, they pull the feedback section just like a turtle pulls it’s head into its shell.
They are doing it to suppress dissent, calling it elimination of “hate speech.”

Yes, I have seen this at the local level as well. I was a regular commenter on the local sites. During the election, many of us were destroying their anti-Trump narratives. So the next thing you know, all the local news outlets started eliminating the comment sections on political stories they didn’t want the narratives destroyed. It’s still that way now.
A majority of these are owned by a very few globalist corporations. The enemedia is out of control with their PC and anti-American narratives brought to us by the globalists. The enemedia needs to be dealt with and many tried for treason. It needs to happen in order to get this country back from all the deceptions and their un-Constitutional activities.

Either that or you have to use Fakebook, and all anonymous Fakebook accounts have been disabled. You have to link to a cell phone number in order to use Fakebook.
They want to be able to dox and destroy you if you say anything they don’t like.
I was watching videos on a truly ghastly website, things that YT would never have, things that would have given me nightmares, were I a younger man. Truly horrible, shocking things, mostly done by one type of person to another.
They allowed comments under each video, and someone had gone through every one and put a message that read something like this: "These are the people who are coming into our country from south of the border. Build The Wall!"
The owners of the website did not take them down.
Cleveland.com did this. Cowards.
Things are different now. They are clamping down. They are doubling down. Tripling down. They are all in. And WE have the white house and CONgress. THEY are making more progress now than they did under 0dunga. (RE: my tagline)

yeah, i often find the commentary more informative and interesting than the original article, so i quit going to the sites that nuked their commentary.
Even in our local small town papers they have taken away our ability to comment on any given story or opinion so there’s no need to read them. One went so far as to make people pay to view it when no other small town paper to my knowledge does that. I know they didn’t need the money because just months before they bragged about donating a half million dollars to charity.
Now that small town no longer exists online. It functions only as a bubble and a spot designated on the map. That’s it. The local businesses no longer have a way to advertise to tourists, and it is a tourist and snow bird town, so it ought to be interesting to watch this town shrivel and die due to the local media’s censorship. That’s all it was about; censorship of outside voices.
Leftists can’t stand a dissenting opinion and they HATE the first Amendment.
