Has Matt Drudge been muted or is he more worried about pleasing everyone for clicks/ratings than doing the right thing these days?
No sign of O'Keefe's Veritas videos even though the deputy press secretary herself mentions one of the videos.
I sent him a tip.
"No O'Keefe videos? I'm done. Moving on to whatfinger.com"

Never heard of whatfinger. Gave it a click, no thanks. Nothing but angry politics. I can get that a bunch of places. Drudge is more diverse. Fat, drunk, stupid, and bitter are no way to go through life, son.

Drudge had the O’Keefe videos and they were the big news. It would still be the big news but Trump had to upstage it with stupid little tweets.
I felt there had been a turning point. Trump was looking good. CNN and the media were looking bad. Kate’s law passed the house and was in the news. Then Trump tweets about some woman’s bloody plastic surgery. He killed most the momentum he had going. And people on FR got mad at me for saying so.

It’s a one-man operation. He may be on holiday.
I’ve read that the Drudge website is worth almost $1 billion. This was a few years ago. So it’s not just Drudge updating his site on weekends.

I have been using whatfinger.com, too. Drudge has some strange links. Whatfinger has se tion on historical, etc.

Drudge is on our side and is seeing record success. Your absence will not be noted and your whining here is unappreciated.
But I’ll make sure to give him a few extra clicks each day to make up for it, and you know what you can do with your finger.
I go to the DRUDGE Site at least a half dozen times a day...but I’m not as anal retentive as some of his former viewers.
Drudge is my hero! I can’t imagine news without him.
I don’t know how he keeps up to date at all times. Amazing.

It's not just Drudge. I use NoScript and uBlock Origin to block five domains when I go to my bank's website—four webtrackers plus a popup ad for some bad software. And I've blocked as many as 15 domains when going to the websites of TV stations.
I realize that. Nonetheless it has been my observation over the years that they do not update much on weekends.
I’ve been on Free Republic almost almost 20 years.
I remember when there were maybe 25 threads in a day here, not many hundreds. I also remember when Drudge Report was getting maybe a hundred fifty thousand hits per day.
Drudge linked to us at a very early point when we needed to grow. He is responsible for something like maybe a third or more of our total membership, here.
he has been extraordinarily good to us.
There probably would be a free republic without drudge but it wouldn’t be anything like it is today.

Matt has shown up in person to two different Free Republic National events and when he did he humbly preferred to remain on the sidelines. He did not throw his considerable wueight around even one tiny bit.
As long as you didn’t recognize him his face, based on his totally unremarkable behavior on that day you would have assumed he was maybe a convenience store clerk, a telemarketer, or the gift shop attendant that he once really was.
The guy is an extremely solid character, sort of like a cowboy who doesn’t say very much but later does extremely meaningful, big things.
