How would you react if Breitbart lied to you?

I'm wondering how the CNN fans and liberals will react to the recent revelation that CNN has been creating completely fake news for them for six months. So I"m imagining how I'd feel if the same thing happened to me.

Imagine you've been following Breitbart for six months about a scandal that you just know has to be true like Fast and Furious. Day after day they release news from unnamed sources, and it seems that an Obama impeachment is just around the corner. Finally after six months, film producer Michael Moore reveals on hidden camera video that they have a top producer from Breitbart new admitting the entire scandal is basically "Bull S***" but it's great for the ratings.

Would you be angry with Michael Moore? Would you continue to tune in to Breitbart to get your news just the same?

To a committed Leftist, truth doesn't matter. Facts don't matter. Only the Agenda matters. If the Agenda can be advanced by the truth, that's fine. If the Agenda can be advanced by lies, that's fine too.

If they have any criticism at all of CNN, it will be that they let themselves get caught.

They could be making their first steps toward liberalism. If you do not actively pursue conservatism, you turn left by default.

They all slant the news, as “reporting” has gone the way of the Dodo. But there is a difference between slant and false. I never assume what is in any news release as gospel. Trust but verify a wise man once said.

Let's do a real-life example...

Suppose you are a loyal viewer of a "fair and balanced," "we report, you decide" network. You've been frustrated that the other networks control the election debate process, and wonder why the "fair and balanced" anchors of YOUR network never get a chance to moderate a debate so that YOUR candidates can get a fair shake.

Finally, after eight years of a presidency with no MSM scrutiny, you are treated to the first primary debate hosted by YOUR network, where you eagerly await the chance for the country to finally see what YOUR candidates are really about.

Then, when the debate begins, you find out that YOUR anchors are setting up traps for your candidates, pitting one against another using gotcha questions, and throwing the most scurrilous charges in their faces.

Do you continue to watch that network that played on your trust for all those years?

To a committed and believing Leftist Truth doesn't even exist. It is all a mental construct. That is why they think they can change human nature to suit their vision of Utopia. They just have to force everyone to think a certain way then reality will be different. I have used the last exasperated argument that okay, Truth and Reality are totally in the mind. Therefore all you have to do is THINK properly yourself and the universe will be rainbows and unicorns! If we nonbelievers are all that mental construct then think us away! If my opposite number doesn't start yelling obscenities and stays for more he says well it doesn't work quite that way and...I just say that's true. It doesn't work at all and if it doesn't work that way then it cannot work and you end up with the necessity of unending slaughter.
