Bill Cosby's sexual assault case has ended in a mistrial.

After six days of deliberation, the seven men and five women selected to serve on the jury were unable to render a unanimous verdict on any of the three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault with which Cosby had been charged.

The comedian pleaded not guilty. Kevin R. Steel, the district attorney from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who brought the charges, has announced he will retry the case.

It was the whole culture of the time. People were into experimenting with drugs and promiscuous sex. It looks to me like Bill Cosby was caught up in that lifestyle. It is disappointing, given that his comedy was always so clean, but I doubt I could have convicted, either.

Part of the motivation behind this, I suspect, is character assassination because Bill was always outspoken about personal responsibility.

I do question why these women waited 15 years to tell their story? It just sounds like a set up no matter which way I look at it.......

Like you said, I am not totally unbiased, and I don’t have all the facts like those 12 jurors. My personal prejudice is against Gloria Allred.

But, let us all not pretend this case is trying to seek “Justice”.

The DA who brought the case has his political agenda, the SJWs and media have their agenda, Constand and Allred have their agenda, ......

By the way, the costly mistrial verdict vindicated the previous DA, who didn’t think they could convict Cosby without reasonable doubt.

Typical propaganda by the lyin' media. The CASE has not ended, just the first trial, which was declared a mistrial.

This pervert is not off the hook by a long shot.

Administering Qualudes to women . . .

Actually, that was never proven either in this case. Cosby admitted to giving Quaaludes to some woman (in what was supposed to be a sealed deposition not applicable in this trial about an accusation from another woman), just not the woman making this accusation. He said all she took was some Benadryl, which is not potent enough to render her helpless.

He could be lying about that of course, but for someone on the jury there needs to be proof of guilt, not proof of innocence.

I think he did drug women for non-consensual sex and is a scumbag. But based on what was in the news, if I were on the jury, I'd have had to vote for not-guilty in this specific case with this specific accusation as well.

Was a breakdown of guilty vs not guilty ever officially announced...or revealed by any of the jurors?

Either a guy who thinks it was her fault or more likely blacks who wouldn’t convict

Didn't I hear that there are 60 women who claim to be his victims?

60? Holy Moly, if half are lying......he's still in big trouble, eh?

At least one of his accusers said she was dating him and having consensual sex with him. Then one day he allegedly drugged her and had sex with her. She was quoted as being hurt and confused as to why he did that, since she would not have denied him sex. I think, if all these accusations are true, Cosby must have some sort of fetish or kink where he enjoys having sex with unconscious, helpless women, even if he could have normal sex with them.

Good point.

I am friends with a successful businessman. He is a good man, faithful to his wife. He has told me some stories of how women who knew of his success would approach him. They said and did some things which left no doubt that they hoped that things would escalate and end up in the bedroom.

I’m sure Cosby has encountered such females.

Ah, that is ok. It prolongs his misery and gets retried anyway.

I thought women would be more automatic for his guilt...

Women are generally better at seeing when another women is handing them a line, just as men can hear another man tell a story and know it does not quite hang together.

Taking gifts from and staying in touch with the guy you claimed raped you is going to set off the "something ain't right" detector.

Is Cosby a pervert? Yep. But not the point.

Did Cosby ever rape any of them? Maybe. But in this case I would have to say there is enough doubt that it would be tough for me to convict.

“To: Enchante

“-”....Cosby is a scumbag”.....

Of course you have irrefutable evidence to prove that statement sufficient to find Cosby guilty. Right now it sounds more like a “She said/He said”. The decision could come out the same way in the next trial.”

Yes, I think that Enchante does have irrefutable evidence, if it would all be allowed in trial. I think it has to do with the idea of so many women coming forward with accusations from years ago. It is inconceivable that so many women would be wrong.

Of course, you are a lawyer, right?

Don’t know if he’s guilty, but if somehow this hurts Gloria Alred’s chances of getting a payday, it makes me smile.

“...don’t have all the facts like those 12 jurors. ...”

Bingo... that right there is the whole thing in a nutshell.

As I see it right now, the only thing he’s guilty of is p*ss-poor judgement about who he’s laying the pipe with... and maybe not having enough sense to keep it in his pants.
