Bill Cosby's sexual assault case has ended in a mistrial.

After six days of deliberation, the seven men and five women selected to serve on the jury were unable to render a unanimous verdict on any of the three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault with which Cosby had been charged.

The comedian pleaded not guilty. Kevin R. Steel, the district attorney from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who brought the charges, has announced he will retry the case.

Already happened Mr K, in 2005 and still on going.

This is a summation of sum of the cases:

This may be the only case for which the statute of limitations has not run out, but all the other victims should get together and sue him civilly-= it would be on TV and his life would be over just as well. Dozens of victims over and over describing what happened?

Didn't seem to faze Willie Clinton did it? He continues to laugh all the way to the bank and countless sex adventures!

I have not followed this closely, but isn’t it based on allegations from 40 years ago? That for me would be enough to acquit. Is Gloria Allred’s daughter one of the lawyers? Or some DA trying to make a name for himself?? If I had been on the jury and the judge kept sending it back until we reached a verdict, I would have held out for aquittal even more. I didn’t like that the judge did that. imho.

What did the cook say when the rat fell into the chowder?
"Better luck next time."

Bad headline. The case is not finished...maybe.

I want to know what the final count was. If it was mostly for not guilty I don’t see how prosecutor can justify moving forward

Hard to convince people that you were raped when you stay in pretty close contact with the perp

Not 40 yrs ago, but this one was from the 1990s I believe.

Cosby engaged in this behavior over decades, but yes, the length of time since the event in question, and also inconsistencies in the woman’s story, made “reasonable doubt” more likely.

“-”....Cosby is a scumbag”.....

Of course you have irrefutable evidence to prove that statement sufficient to find Cosby guilty. Right now it sounds more like a "She said/He said". The decision could come out the same way in the next trial.

I don’t want to sound catty, but... I’m watching the prosecutor’s news conference. Who on earth is that girl to his right?

If you’re going to be on TV, for pity’s sake comb your hair. She looks like she just rolled out of bed.

I thought women would be more automatic for his guilt.

Not necessarily. Women can sometimes judge each other very harshly.

Psssttt ..... she continued to ‘receive gifts’ and then got pretty well compensated, after the ‘rape’.

But don’t tell those who already convict Cosby.

I concur with your comments Mr K. They should collectively get a monetary payout from old man Coz. Make him fork it over and keep him out of jail not wasting taxpayer dollars. His drugging females days are long gone and so is most of his life.
The OJ. comparison is not so valid since he’s a murderous taker of innocent lives and jail is where he truly belongs.

RE “..Cosby is a scumbag ...”

Why? Because the media has him guilty already? Like DaveA37 said - it’s “She said/He said”.

RE “...Administering Qualudes to women ...”

There’s a certain amount of “No, thank you, I don’t want to take that” involved, you know. It wasn’t like he tied them up and FORCED them to take anything.

Way I see it, there appears to be some opportunism going on on on the part of the “lady” involved. Maybe some others as well.

A lot of her story appears to be bullsh*t.

Unless someone is sitting on the jury and actually weighing all the facts, it’s “Innocent Until Proven Guilty”.

That’s our system, and it’s there to protect us from bullsh*t charges.

If you think back to when this crap started, it was shortly after Cosby sounded off about young black men taking responsibility for themselves, taking care of the kids they produce, etc., - going off the plantation, as it were.

Seems political more than anything else. Destroy the guy for going against “the party”.

Not hammering on you, Enchante - Just saying things aren’t always what they appear.

he will likely only retry IF he can introduce more cases to show a pattern of serial assault- otherwise he may not try it again especially if he finds out that most of the jurors were against conviction and only one or 2 were for it- that will likely determine whether he actually goes forward or not- As DA- He basically had to say he was going to retry- many state that only to later say that ‘new info determined it would not be worth retrying’

With Cosby’s fame and celebrity why did he even need to drug up his wumins? Seems like he could have gotten his jollies with them being wide awake.

“...why did he even need to drug up ...”

Again, did he, for certain?

Or is this just the Golddigger Express coming up to bat, at the behest of someone else, doing a magnificent smear job on the guy?

Interesting how the same event can be viewed so differenlty (isn’t that called “parallax view”???).
