Maryland prosecutors will drop rape and sex offense charges against two immigrant teens accused of attacking a 14-year-old classmate in a high school bathroom stall, according to attorneys in a case that shocked local parents, attracted international and White House attention and stoked the debate about illegal crossings into the U.S.
In court on Friday, prosecutors said they will drop the sex assault case against Jose Montano, 17. On Thursday evening, they told a lawyer for Henry Sanchez Milian, 18, that they would also drop his sex assault case, according the lawyer, Andrew Jezic.

Since there are no surveillance cameras in bathrooms, it will be a he said she said sort of scenario. The defense probably found evidence on her cell phone etc that she had had sex with boys in the past and would attack her credibility on the stand. Terrible.

Liberals have a problem with this one. Both sides are supported by their “talking points”. All women/girls who claim rape must be believed vs. Illegals should have protected rights and not be “discriminated” against.

No, the legal age in Maryland is 14. At least that was what was written when this story first happened.
But the age of "consent" is TWELVE in their nation of origin. So the judge is likely making a "cultural adjustment."
We are only removing illegal aliens after they are caught and convicted of other crimes.

She made it all up or was at least a willing participant.

Actually, it appears that what occurred was not rape under Maryland law. From a legal website:
In Maryland, the age of consent to have sex is 16. Any two people over the age of 16 may consent to have sex with each other, regardless of any age disparity between them.
Like most states, there are some situations in Maryland where people under the age of consent may legally have sex, as long as there is only a small age difference between them.
In Maryland, persons aged between 14 and 16 may consent to sex as long as the other partner is not more than 4 years older.
