A Poll, did you support Trump or Freedom Caucus?

Posted on 03/27/2017 5:04:01 PM PDT by MNDude

I've heard a lot of differing views directing anger, disappointment and relief at the various parties in Washington lately.

So I'm wanting to take a poll.

Did you support passage of Trump's and Ryan's healthcare bill? Or Did you support Freedom Caucus stopping it?

POTUS knows the HFC/Never Trumpers are not the folks you want in the fox hole.

So true. POTUS learned who will go AWOL when the bullets fly for real. For example the infrastructure bill will make road kill of the fiscal hawks. This was a Pyrrhic victory if there ever was once. The FC has marginalized conservatives tremendously with their betrayal. Sad.

Trump is skating on thin ice attacking the FC, and NOT demanding a simple full repeal bill!

A couple dozen Congressmen just torpedoed major agenda items of a sitting POTUS of their own party in the first weeks of his term. And he is “skating on thin ice” returning fire in a tweet? Hilarious. They don’t call it the stupid party for nothing.

The freedom Caucus saved America and Freedom itself

Ryancare = obamacare = commie care = communism

Ryan ‘s healthcare bill was written by Soros

Ryan is a traitor against America

The main communist goal is to turn healthcare socialist then the rest of America will fall to communism.

This was Ryan and Soros trying to destroy America as Chavez did to Venezuela with socialism/communism

A medical operation costs $80,000 because this commie system is over regulated with government regulations and government interference.

What works is a free market free of government interference and Regulations : Read Atlas Shrugged.

Funny how the free market works in laptops, snacks ,food items, super markets, smart phones, electronics but leftists like Ryan want us to believe it won’t work in Healthcare.

The smart phone market is less regulated so you have innovation, increasing quality and lowering of prices . that is what competition in a free market does , it helps everyone that lives in the USA . That’s how America became great with free market capitalism.

Socialism can never work. Ryan is pure evil and Judge Jeanine is right he/it that Ryan socialist creep has to go now

I support both. A hit piece poll designed to drive a wedge between the POTUS and the conservative grass roots of the Republican party does not impress me. The Freedom Caucus and the POTUS are not at odds, despite what the hit pieces may say.

Seriously don’t know who I trust anymore. I don’t blame Trump for this debacle as I think he was led down a posey path by Ryan and Preibus.
FC did us a favor, but I hope that the next project, tax reform doesn’t turn into a freaking mess.

What Ryan’s bill did in practice was changing the name from Obamacare to RepublicanCare.

That is, keeping the same program with a few tweaks, but tied it to Republicans. Thas was going to kill the Republicans in 2018. So the Freedom Caucus just saved the Republicans from the catastrophic defeat they were going to get in 18.

Sorry, you’re just wrong. We have a sitting GOP POTUS and Congress. They won’t be able to claim bystander status like a Dem POTUS could. They will take 100% of the blame for Obamacare now while the minority Dems scream to “fix it”

The HFC, on the other hand, was good in standing on principle, but they did it in such a way that I doubt their input will be sought on any future bills, and so it was a defeat for them.

You bet. I see Meadows is already back pedding furiously on deficit neutral offset spending. So much for “standing on principle”. Those principles lasted all of the weekend. LOL.

The polls about the policy meant nothing - people had little insight into the legislation.

Then that points to a serious lack of work on the part of the people who put this thing together and tried to push it through Congress, right?

The problem involved the three phase approach to tackling the issue which seemed well beyond the capacity of the HFC to grasp.

I can assure you that they grasped it all too well. Phase 2 didn't need the AHCA; the HHS Secretary can start implementing a lot of changes right now. Phase 3 was a pipe-dream because everyone in the HFC knew that if insurance premiums escalated by 15%-20% in 2018 then there wouldn't be even a simple GOP majority -- let alone a 60-vote margin in the Senate -- to pass Phase 3.

POTUS knows the HFC/Never Trumpers are not the folks you want in the fox hole.

Those guys all represent districts that were very much behind Trump in 2016. He took them for granted and threw them under the bus just so he could back a weak, ineffective bill that was aimed at protecting a bunch of moderate Republicans in districts that Hillary Clinton won.

More MODERATES opposed “Ryancare” than CONSERVATIVES. ********* i’m sick of this “blame the Freedom Caucus” bulls***!

This fiasco was designed to fail by the tag-team of Reince Priebus and Paul Ryan!!

A couple dozen Congressmen just torpedoed major agenda items of a sitting POTUS of their own party in the first weeks of his term.

This is completely false. Nothing in the AHCA bill remotely resembled the "agenda items" of Donald Trump. Go back to the seven-step health care reform plan he put out during his 2016 campaign. You'll see that the AHCA bill was a pathetic mockery of his agenda.

Heck -- the Ryan bill didn't even include anything that Trump included in his address to Congress just a few days before the bill was drafted.

Freedom Caucus. As soon as I heard there was a Phase 2 and Phase 3, I knew it wasn’t going to happen. We need a clean repeal. Once this gets drawn out, the rinos won’t be wanting to go on record as by fall they will be ratcheting up their reelection campaigns.

Freedom Caucus saved his hide and he should not have tweeted what he did yesterday. Dumb to attack your most enthusiastic supporters and side with those who never wanted you in office.
