I hate when men cry. But honestly? I hate it more when women cry because it is must more manipulative. That’s my two cents. I cry once in a while, but I cry in private.

Depends on why they are crying.

I’ve seen my Father cry once. When my Mother died after their 49 years and about 45 weeks of marriage.

NEVER saw either grandfather cry.

In 25 years of marriage I’ve seen my husband shed a couple of tears when My Mother died and when our dog died but not out right boo hoo crying. And maybe a little misty eyed when our daughter got married last May.

So nope, not a badge of honor in my family. I only cry once about every 3-5 years . . . not often and usually in private.

Jesus wept. If it’s good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for any mortal man.

Serial cryers are doing an act of showmanship for the attention...

Glenn Beck is exactly that. I doubt that seriously he cried all that much in private and I sure don’t know any women who cry as much as he does.

It’s a bit like Madonna’s “English Accent”. It’s an affectation and amazingly, she no longer talks with an English accent, as she did years ago.

Glenn crying is a device to “demonstrate” The seriousness of a subject matter and gain more focus to it.

However, just like the nutcase woman who is seeing crying all the time and over everything is obnoxious for its virtue signaling.

The device enables them to suck oxygen out of a room but, also provides both shield and foil as they demonstrate their virtue and surely would not tell someone to suck it up and stop the only acting.

Those tears are real and you are a cad...

Not me. I walk away from Self agrandizing, self serving prigs who demand I share their virtue and that my identity and ego should be subservient to theirs....

Eff em...pussies...

It’s like anything else. It’s appropriate sometimes, but it can be overdone. I just hate the way men have been so feminized lately in general, (man buns, effeminate voices, etc.)

Men need to cry sometimes just like anybody else. This business of crying in public tho - I gotta think that’s just using tears to manipulate, just like women. And yes, I think women use tears to get ahead in the workplace. It’s disgusting, degenerate, and discriminatory.

It’s okay for men to cry:

1. During war movies.
2. During sports movies.
3. He had to put his favorite dog down.
4. He had to put his favorite horse down.
5. His girlfriend and his wife are pregnant.

Add others if you want ....

I cry every time at the end of Random Harvest, when Ronald Coleman takes the key out of his pocket, and Greer Garson calls him Smitty.

Music videos, too. For one, the Phil Collins video, “Do You Remember”, kills me when the little girl smiles at the kid. Such innocence.

"A man who can't cry scares me."

This guy said it.

Men who cry a lot are just too emotional IMHO. My hubby who is a man through and through has only cried 3X that I have seen in 38 years. one for our dog who died, once for my Dad who passed and once for a cat who died. to me it shows real compassion and a heart being touched. Too often shows some mental instability - eg. Glenn Beck.

I cried when my Father and then my Mother died and at their funerals, also for close relatives. I also get very choked up and have tears when I attend a veterans funeral and Taps is played. I also get misty-eyed and have a hard time singing our National anthem because I remember my military brothers who have paid the ultimate price for our flag.

My husband got a little misty at our wedding and when our children were born. That’s it.

I married a man. Not a wuss.

I think a man can cry, at a child dying; wife dying; parents dying;

But to cry in public, I don’t even do that, yes I cry, but in the walls of my home away from other people...

You can’t think that someone like Glen Beck is a man, he’s an idiot and a horrible one at that...he’s the slime that snakes crawl along on...

I cry at funerals and there are several films that can bring me to tears...one of which I just watched yesterday for about the tenth time (Cry,The Beloved Country).

Other than that the only thing that makes my eyes wet is an allergy.

[[I was recently listening to radio host, Glenn Beck, and he proudly announced that he cries really often as if it is a badge of honor. ]]

he cries because he has either a mental condition, or whacky hormones condition that he’s trying to pass off as manly-

There are key moments when it’s ok to briefly let your guard down- Death- Saying goodbye to your child for the first time when they go off- Maybe the birth of a child- or when the X-Files gets interrupted by a presidential press conference- but other than that- nope- not ok UNLESS you are steve martin

Let’s look at your list beyond Glenn Beck as others have handled that subject already.

Bill Clinton - Really?? Really? The “cry-on-demand” putz who was exposed as laughing when leaving a funeral until noticing the press was watching???

Schumer, Boehner - politicians, not a whole lot different from Beck as having an attention-getting device.

Anderson Cooper - yeah, I’m nearly brought to tears during my yearly prostate exam so it’s easy figure this one.

My former pastor - I’ll leave that one to you to decide.
