Gayness was a minor character making a few subtle allusions and glances scattered throught a 2 hour movie - you almost had to be looking for it to even notice it
For a child? Pfffft would not even get it
No LBT whatsoever
No political message
No feminism except belle did not want to marry a jerk and settle down in a small town to have babies ( gasp)
In general a charming humanized remake of a Disney cartoon with some beautiful visual effects
the news about how this movie is filled with gayness turned out to be fake, was used to sell tickets to the ‘progressive’.
it is not a joke dropped into the movie, the homosexual content is intentional propaganda per the director and rest of the cast.
No matter how they slice it the movie was horribly miscast.
also (per http://www.themoviespoiler.com) he ends up with a beastly “beard” which is slang for something else.
(for those in rio linda, a beard is slang for a homosexual man who marries a woman as camouflage)

Back in a more innocent time, I saw THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS. The local newspaper considered it “safe” for kids as it even had a “sissy” vampire.

I get your point, however, this is how it gets started with subtle and sneaky references. In the near future though they’ll be in your face shaking it, and, if you disapprove the “problem” is with you.

The fact that folks like you (like a lot of people) see this as subtle and unnoticeable only goes to prove how inured and desensitized we have become to the “gay” world view injected into every discussion. Twenty-five years ago this wouldn’t have been the case.
