President Barack Obamas concessions to Cuba opened the way for U.S. airlines to do business with the communist dictatorship. After announcing frequent flights to the island over a year ago, however, many major airlines have found the demand they expected from U.S. tourists simply is not there.

Good. The left was wetting its jeans over Cuba, the communist paradise, right after bammy gave the Castros all they wanted.
It’s still communist. Still hates America. Still has no respect for human rights. Who would want to go?
I will never give one red cent to a communist country
Nice Bass
A top to bottom housecleaning.
Cuba is “Back to the Future” to experience metallic automobiles of the 1950s. See the past nos that you can.
We went to Canada in 1976 for the Olympics and while there, picked up a Cuban cigar to see what all the fuss was about. This was at a time when Muriel Coronelas and Phillies Cheroots were 25c a box of five. The Cuban cigar cost $1.00.
So help me Hannah, I couldn't tell much difference between the two, other than the Cuban had real tobacco leaves inside while the American brands contained shredded/minced tobacco. I expected a really mild smoke and was disappointed at the sameo-sameo flavor. Never bothered with them again.
The local NAPA guys aren’t much help on old Jeep.
A few niche vendors and Amazon are though.
You are asking for a 1+1=2 logical ability from democrats that simply, sadly, is not there.
They got genetically shorted, the ratio of long term memory cells to short term memory cells, perhaps, or faulty wiring. There is a eugenic solution, but more good people have to die before that screw is wound to the sticking point.
Now that’s a b..ass !
I grew up in Miami. Planned to treat myself to a high school graduation gift of an I and I weekend in Havana. Then Castro came in and poof, everything changed.
It was a wild city, Pan Am had hourly flights from Miami, $25 IIRC.
So liberals are all talk and no action.
“even if it was just for the novelty of going.”
That’s it: it’s just a novelty.
And it’s a novelty only because it was forbidden for so long, so the novelty of being allowed to go will quickly wear off. The novelty was the prohibition, not that it’s inherently attractive for any reason.
Of those indulging the novelty, others will quickly learn that it’s overpriced and uninteresting - taking their money to more polished and worthwhile locations nearby.
Hence the lack of passengers on Cuba-bound American flights: why go?
On a related note, I have to wonder what this has done to the Canadian tourism-to-Cuba industry, which AFAIK existed primarily for Americans to indulge the novelty of traveling to a forbidden area.
I recall a story of a tourist moving a Cuban to tears by bringing a gift of spark plug wires.
They whack USD holders heavily, with a touch of spite. My niece went, but had the presence of mind to take a wad of Euros and got a much better exchange rate.

Ha. Thanks for that. Dead groundhog. Yep
You would have thought liberals seeking “the best health care system in the world” would be flocking to Havana for treatment.
I’m sure the flights out are a riot.
We could start with Hillary. Put her in Git-mo.
Airlines should offer free, one way flights to Cuba for all Democrats, liberals and other idiots.
