Poor little rich girl. The youngest person ever to win the lottery in Britain wants to sue the jackpot honchos who made her wealthy because the dough “ruined her life,” according to a report. Jane Park, 21 — who won $1.25 million playing Euromillions at age 17 — says she was too young to cope with the sudden flood of wealth, according to the UK Mirror. “At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life. I thought it would make it 10 times better but it’s made it 10 times worse,” she moaned to the paper.

From the sounds of how she is spending the money, she’s almost at a point of where she was before.

Becoming very rich when you’re very young can be a curse.

Becoming rich at any age, as a matter of fact.

Suing the lottery folks won’t fix it.

What she found out was that some friends and some family are just there for the cash.

When the cash is gone, many of them will be too.

If the money is such a burden I’m sure there are many good charities in need. How about donating to a children’s hospital?

How long will $1.25 million last after purchasing 2 homes, a Range Rover, traveling the globe, and getting cosmetic surgery?

I often say, winning the lottery would solve all my problems.

And then I'd have a bunch of new problems.

My pastor just preached about this situation. He said that one who is financially responsible before winning the lottery will be responsible with the winnings; however, one who was broke before the lottery will likely end up broke after winning. Makes perfect sense to me. We are either good stewards with resources or are not. The quantity of resources is immaterial to the equation.

True. This isn’t that much money, really. (meaning it’s not as much as some people might think)

Of course, with the $2 I’ve got in the bank right now, it’s a wee bit more than I have, lol.

The money didn’t ruin her life. She made dumb choices.

$1.25 million isn’t all that much. Gone in a flash if there’s no discipline.

Not many people could live on that over any length of time.

How much money are we talking here? I mean a couple of million would pay all of the bills and spread some around to friends and relatives and have some fun but . . . let’s see the Powerball® is only up to around . . . . 310 million dollars???? are you kidding me? What am I doing here on FR? I should be out buying lottery tickets with both hands.

Weird. Unexpected and unearned wealth harmed me

So I’m suing to get even more unexpected and unearned wealth.

My favorite ‘Lotto Riches to Poor House’ is the clown in California who won millions and took the 25 year payout. He did the usual stupid stuff, houses, cars, fast women, slow horses and then found his annual check did not cover his payments. Sold his future earnings on a present value basis. He then decided that his experience was valuable and decided to be a financial advisor to future winners.

Whatever happens,

It is not her fault!

“At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life. I thought it would make it 10 times better but it’s made it 10 times worse,” she moaned to the paper.

“I wish I had no money most days. I say to myself, ‘My life would be so much easier if I hadn’t won,’” she said.

Just give the money to me, and your problem is solved.

She did not even have to accept the money.

Something to learn from the movie “Groundhog Day”, if you win the lottery. Spend some money on piano lessons, and learning other technical skills or go to a trade school. Buy some tools and learn how to use them. Even if you run out of money, you will have become a smarter person, a more skilled person, and will be employable or able to generate more income. Lottery money doesn’t last long, and you’ll need to generate income for the rest of your life.
