The Full Text of General Flynn’s Resignation Letter
February 13, 2017
In the course of my duties as the incoming National Security Advisor, I held numerous phone calls with foreign counterparts, ministers, and ambassadors. These calls were to facilitate a smooth transition and begin to build the necessary relationships between the President, his advisors and foreign leaders. Such calls are standard practice in any transition of this magnitude.
Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador. I have sincerely apologized to the President and the Vice President, and they have accepted my apology.
Throughout my over thirty three years of honorable military service, and my tenure as the National Security Advisor, I have always performed my duties with the utmost of integrity and honesty to those I have served, to include the President of the United States.
I am tendering my resignation, honored to have served our nation and the American people in such a distinguished way.
I am also extremely honored to have served President Trump, who in just three weeks, has reoriented American foreign policy in fundamental ways to restore America’s leadership position in the world.
As I step away once again from serving my nation in this current capacity, I wish to thank President Trump for his personal loyalty, the friendship of those who I worked with throughout the hard fought campaign, the challenging period of transition, and during the early days of his presidency.
I know with the strong leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence and the superb team they are assembling, this team will go down in history as one of the greatest presidencies in U.S. history, and I firmly believe the American people will be well served as they all work together to help Make America Great Again.

Rep. John Conyers, Jr., D-Mich., the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, D-Md, Ranking Member on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued a joint statement saying they were “shocked and dismayed” to learn that law enforcement officials had warned White House counsel Don McGahn that Flynn had given false information to the public about his communications with Russian officials, but the White House “apparently did nothing about it — neither to clarify the truth to the American public or to stop General Flynn from being an ongoing national security concern.”
The two are demanding to know who had authority over Flynn and continued to let him have access to the country’s “most sensitive national security information despite knowing these risks.”

Conyers and Cummings are just a couple of America-hating race pimps.
This does not bode well for them because Sessions is going to go after these turds with a vengeance. This only sets the tone for the draining of the swamp.
But which sanctions was Flynn even referring to? The ones involving so-called “hacking into the election”, or Russia’s invasion of Crimea?

Nice letter. There has to be more to this than the obvious lie/mislead issue. We Will see.

This was a huge mistake. The left never backs down. This was so minor nothing Burger and now they’re going to use it forever. Whoever advised Trump to let him quit should be fired.
how can he enforce the Logan act on obama ? what has obama done ?
Don't kid yourself. The Left already sees this as the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency. I'm not saying it is, but the tantrums will only intensify.
He has to and it will be fun to watch the media when the administration begins its Sherman’s march to the sea against the establishment. I say Trump should replace Flynn with Sebastian Gorka whom I wanted in this position in the first place.

Precisely. A lemming from the left would steal the Lord’s Supper on national TV and then the party would claim it was a right wing conspiracy.
Just look at Clinton: Waco, Sandy Berger walking out with top secret documents in his underwear, Albright bombing every Christian church in Serbia, Reno snatching up Elian Gonzales at gun point, FBI Filegate, and on and on and on.
The moral to this story is that they never leave a wounded soldier on the battlefield. Us on the other hand, we wet our pants at the sight of a negative NYT or Washington Post fake news story.
I deeply hope this isn’t a foreshadowing of things to come, because the Bolshevik press will be conducting an anal probe of this administration for the next four years. And trust me, they have plenty of energy because they have been on vacation for the last eight years.
It’s a damned shame. Democrats are sore losers, but even more sickening, and more aggressive when they win. We don’t need any winning by the Democrats. It isn’t something that should be allowed.
