Meh. I’m no fan of Trump’s style, but nobody’s perfect. Your virtues are your vices sometimes.
I certainly would not hold this in any way against the nominee.
If Gorsuch even said what is claimed, I think it actually improves his chances of confirmation. It demonstrates he is his own man and not a Trump yes man. Trump has said this is what he is looking for in a Judge and what we should be looking for in a Judge. We want Judges to rule on the law, not for who they vote for.

IF that is true he would be trying to curry favor from the leftists instead of relying on his stellar history for his confirmation....NOT good.
Those of faith can disagree on the refugee situ and both be doing “The Lords Work”(widows and orphans). Being a participating member of a church accepting homosexual marriage and baby killing (in the guise of women’s rights) tells me all I need to know about a future judges real, basic morale fiber, political leaning, and therefore the direction his future rulings will take.

Gorsuch will stand with every ‘elite’ position - from backing THE CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS to worshiping at the foot of the UN. It's painful to dump his now but no where near as painful as living for 30 years with a jerk on the Supreme Court.
It’s not just the refugee situation. It’s illegal aliens and the wall and the “Dreamers” and the very concept of borders. Most Catholic priests from Pope Francis on down take a position on immigration that is quite different from mine.
And there are other moral issues with which I disagree with the Church. I believe that not only is it permissible, but in many cases it is necessary for the protection of innocent human life, for the state to execute murderers and rapists. Yet the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church was amended by Pope Saint John Paul II to clarify that the use of capital punishment is valid only as a last resort to prevent further killing and that such requirements almost never can be met in the modern world, and every priest that I’ve ever met has expressed his opposition to the death penalty irrespective of circumstances. Those are heartfelt disagreements that I have with the Church’s teachings—issues on which I believe the Chuch to be misguided—yet I have not left the Church and, barring an unforeseen epiphany, never will leave the Church.
I don’t know Judge Gorsuch personally, and I suspect that neither do you. It is quite probable that he is as appalled by the recent positions on social issues taken by the Episcopal Church as I am whenever I hear a Catholic priest say “as Catholic, we must oppose the death penalty in all circumstances” or “as Catholics, we must support our immigrant brothers and sisters irrespective of their legal status.” Just as I would expect for you to judge me on my words and deeds, and just as I strive to judge others on their words and deeds, I believe that we should judge Judge Gorsuch on his record, not his church membership.
Elite haters stand with Gorsuch.
We can assume since the press is protecting Gorsuch it means the words attributed to him are true. The press, democrats, Hollywood and other elites know Gorsuch will stand with elties against the American people. If that's true Trump needs to take the hit and withdraw his nomination. Or better, Gorsuch should withdraw his name.

Gorsuch has better credentials than any appointee since Scalia. The fact that he thinks the President should not have gone "personal" against the Washington District Judge is of virtually no consequence in the broader picture.
Don't let yourself be played by a Leftist--and very mischievous media, trying to construct false issues to defeat our intention to restore the America of the Constitution! Judge Gorsuch is a very, very important man in that quest--which is why the President selected him!
