It was sunny and warm in Florida today. High was 86. Got a little camera and nature time today too. Hope you enjoy.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and an awesome New Year.

I believe 2017 is gonna a great start to the Trump revolution to restore America!

Haven’t seen many around the place this year, Fly.

Don’t know why other than it could be just more building and cityfication and don’t get out much.

There was a turkey on my roof a couple of months back, but I didn't have my camera with me - and I haven't any seen any birdies worth shooting and posting lately.

So I'll just be catty and post this instead...

I haven’t seen a scarlet tannenger forever. I’m close enough to the Mississippi to see the barge spotlights some nights and this time of year the bald eagles are so thick you’d think they were pests.

I think we all miss The Sniper and his photos. He was a great guy and definitely his own person.

Gosh! Great haul for your list. At first glance, I thought that you saw them all in the same tree! Duh!

Since Hurricane Sandy basically ruined my favorite birding spot, I haven't been out in the field. I am waiting for the libtards and various branches of the gubmint to quit quarreling about the best way to repair the breach caused by the storm and restore the trail. Been more than 2 years already.

So now I’m curious. What’s your favorite birding spot?

I got a few dozen starlings in my backyard I could send you! The other birds are frightened by them!

I'm gonna pass on that offer. Haha!

Want some Gambel's Quail? I've got plenty that pass through my desert abode every day.

Lovely! Always great to see some feathered FRiends. Thanks for the post Is7.

Our foot of snow melted in the 55* heat wave on Sunday. My feeders were still full of hungry beaks.

After a long absence, of several pair of Cardindals who are *regulars*, a single male returned yesterday adding brilliance to the flock. Nothing stays the same.

Do you do the Audubon Christmas Count I7?

Here’s to *Sniper*, a good FRiend. RIP. Peace to All in this Christmas Season.

When I was stationed at Stumps I went rappelling out on the monument a lot.

I can't speak for Islander7 but I've done about a dozen Christmas Bird counts, all in Nevada, and probably about ten or so years ago.

Great fun. I would recommend it for any birder of any skill level, especially new birders. Being grouped with experienced birders is an exceptional way for novices to improve their ID skills. Plus it's just fun being out in nature all day. Just dress warmly!

It’s great fun. A great way to get kids involved in bird watching.

If you can’t get out, they do the *the Great Backyard Bird Count*. The next GBBC is February 17-20, 2017; easy; results submitted online. :)

It was -12 degrees this morning. They might not be too keen on the weather change!
