A Muslim-owned Turkish restaurant is offering a free three-course meal to the homeless and elderly on December 25, because no one should eat alone on Christmas Day.
The gesture stemmed from a chance encounter with a woman who needed help closing her window.
The restaurant, Shish, is located on the outskirts of London.
Early last month, an elderly woman who lived in the neighborhood came in to the restaurant and asked if anyone could help pull down a window she was having difficulty reaching.
The staff didn’t hesitate.
And, when the woman returned the next day to thank them, she told them how she’d be alone for Christmas.
Her situation reminded owner Serdar Kigili of his mother in Turkey, whom he hadn’t seen in five years.

If a Turkish Restaurant near me did this, I would take them up on it, even if I had to pay for it.
I like what they seem to be trying to do.
The real spirit of Christmas (kindness , consideration and generosity) can sometimes look like this.

However, it is being headlined as a fake news story. The headline is agenda driven, and that is to show that Muslims are kind during the Christian holiday season. It would have been far better to leave the word Muslim out of the headline, and report it in the story, as we should all know Muslim people can be kind people, just like Christian, Jewish people can be kind people, etc.
I resent agenda driven news, which I believe is a category of fake news because it is manufactured to fit an agenda.

i know of a Muslim who owned a grocery...he allowed a Christian church to use his parking lot on Saturdays to minister to the homeless—preach the Gospel of Jesus and feed them food.
I doubt he was a devoted Muslim, maybe a MINO.
I just figure that they must be lousy muslims (and good folks). Hopefully they the Christ of Christmas (and the Christ of Life).
