Well, Trump won. I actually voted for him - as I always have (conservative losers VS. leftists) but I doubted his long-term political survival.
I was wrong. I do not apologize for my taste but I will admit he was the best candidate.
Now, it remains to be seen if he will be what all [C]onservatives want/wish/pray for him to be.
Given some of his apparent appointments, I am not too sure.
We shall see.
If you want to flame me, go ahead. I have a all-brick home and I couldn't care less. Blow, my big, bad wolves and see if I care.

Seeing as how FreeRepublic started in Feb. 1997, that doesn't really equal the mid 90's. Late 90's. But elections have always been contentious here as the candidates are supported by different factions just like the rest of the conservative base. In this particular election the NeverTrumpers were exactly like their candidate of choice, losers at every turn.
But I will give credit where credit is due, you at least wised up enough to realize that the choice really wasn't something that could be ignored when the rubber meets the road. It was either the HildyBeast or Trump.
Good to hear Enge’s still rockin’ it. Love the guy! Now that Sue is back on the radio on Saturdays, maybe I’ll hear him again. I was on the Lake Street Bridge every Wednesday when the fairies and hippies were protesting the war. Col. Joe Repya made a couple of appearances and it was awesome. Enge cleared the way with his pickup playing “Proud to Be An American” and the twin towers sculpture in the back.
I hear you about getting older. I don’t have much patience for Lefties anymore either. Proud my son is a U of MN student that is conservative and is even more so after his exposure to SJW’s, snowflakes and Somalis. PC at the U backfired with him.

Yes, he has read the script. Any fool that read stuff here over the last ten years would have a powerful roadmap into the heart of America.
If he is real- we shall see. If he is a clever deal-maker and nothing else, well, we shall see that, too.
Time will tell.
If he fails to meet his promises, he will be the most reviled man in the politcal history of the 20th and 21st centuries. If he lives up to his hype, he will destroy the left and reinvigorate the West - possibly for decades.
