Cats need between 12 and 16 hours of sleep per day, so with all that practice it's no great mystery why cats are experts in the sleep department. Take a look at this list compiled by Bored Panda for example. As you can see, there is literally no place and no position in which a cat cannot sleep. Sink? No problem. Shoe? You got it. In a box? Bring it on! In a wine glass? Sure!

My boy loves his kitty.
She came to us at 8 weeks and didn't know what to make of Sam at first but his gentleness soon won her over.
She often suckles on him even though there's nothing there and purrs up a storm.

She's part of the crew as we do our deliveries.

Adorable pics. I am a dog owner and am currently trying to get my terrier rescue to at least co-exist with my neighbor’s cat who visits to get treats from me. She’s such a cutie. My Beau is too, but he’s got that terrier intensity going on!

Not only humans are enchanted by cats. A few years ago, a kitten barely old enough to be away from his (feral?) mom somehow got into the back yard. There he encountered dogs that would have killed a squirrel or rabbit within seconds. I heard the dogs barking, and went outside. One of the dogs was standing over the kitten, wagging its tail, looking first at the kitten, then at me, then back at the kitten. I swear he was smiling. "Just look at this wonderful little creature I found!"

Thus the kitten's campaign of conquest began. Before long he was crawling all over me, purring.

Is that his voice I hear? I should go. He might need something.

My husband was like that. Had no use for them whatsoever. That was until he got cancer and a kitten took up. Oh man his heart melted, and he got well.

He became a cat person. Last count, when he died of old age, we had ten.

I’d never discount the power of Love, in any of its expressions.

Get the terror rescue associated with receiving treats every time the neighbor’s cat visits.

My terror mix used to bark at the neighbor’s dog when it came around. We started giving them both treats at the same time and now ours goes berserk for a treat and ignores the other dog when he visits.

cats should be considered farm animals. Otherwise, their owners need to keep their butts in their houses.

The problem with cats is that they breed like rabbits and cause major flea infestations. What are the implications of designating them as farm animals? I’ve heard rumors that the
Amish and Mennonites fry them up like chicken!

I am a pit bull man. Awesome loving dogs, except for strangers.

If you really are a pit bull guy you would love the book entitled “Four Foot Tall and Rising”. It’s the autobiography of a famous midget ex-convict (can’t remember his name) who is widely known and somewhat of a celebrity for his years of pit bull rescue operations. A photo of the little runt munching on a cigar adorns the dust jacket. An amazing story and a real page-turner.

I’ve had barn cats for years. Of course the problem is if you don’t have them fixed they multiply like rabbits. Two or three and the next thing you know you have a dozen or more. When that happens I fatten them up so they’re nice and healthy and then I relocate them and let Mother Nature take over their care and feeding. I could take them to the local Shelter, but they would be put down in 48 hours. Right now I have 11 of them and they’ve caused a serious flea infestation in my barn. And my dogs are now full of fleas and I’m working to resolve that problem.

Reminds me of what it’s like, trying to wake up your teenager, to go to school on a Monday morning.
