Nasa is expected to make an announcement about 'surprising activity' on Jupiter's moon, Europa, on Monday.
Many speculated that Nasa could finally be announcing evidence of life beyond Earth.
The space agency, however, has poured cold water over these claims, tweeting that the much anticipated announcement will not be related to aliens.

Maybe so. My feeling is that space won’t be conquered by the bureaucracy that is NASA and government. When it is economically necessary, it will happen. IF we as humans are in a position to act upon it.
Government accomplishes nothing.

They always hype these things and then when we get to the press conference they will say something like:
‘due to the shape of these rocks from this grainy photo, we think that there may have been water here a trillion years ago...maybe.’
Well, that, and they started pulling this stuff during Bush41, from my memory, anyway.
NASA will NEVER announce or acknowledge aliens.
NASA exists in order to deny the existence of aliens for as long as possible.
When aliens finally land, NASA helicopters will drop a giant sheet over the landed UFO and simultaneously cut the power to all the television cameras.
NASA’s real mission is opposite what people believe.

From what I’m remembering from 25 years ago, it was ok.
Liked the 2001 book better than the movie. I’d probably read the books again if another book came out.
I really liked 2061, it was an interesting read and quite a story. When I first read it.
