Robert De Niro says Donald Trump is like the main character of the legendary 1976 movie Taxi Driver, the mentally disturbed Travis Bickle.
During a question-and answer session Saturday at the Sarajevo Film Festival, De Niro said, like Bickle, the U.S. Republican presidential candidate is where he shouldnt be.
God help us, he added.

Shut up and act, Mr. Dinero.
He couldn’t shine Trumps shoes Trump is the greatest American since George Washington.
I second that..............
And Hillary is more like DeNiro’s character in, “Angel Heart.”
Does he have a film coming out...or is he just desperate for publicity?
IMO, De Niro is a washed out B actor who should seriously turn himself into the Hollywood Amalgamated Dementia Healtcare Association.
You know, like know when to say when.
It’s when, Bobby-boy.
De Niro took his roll too seriously. He’s an old man now trying to secure some sort of liberal idol future that translates to still-fame and money. What he says doesn’t amount to anything substantive.
I like De Niro. He’s a great actor.
God help us?-—Bobby?
He is trying to,nitwit.
TRUMP OR TYRANNY.
De Niro has joined the ranks of ‘safe celebrity puppets’,
similar to Meryl Streep, Barbara Streisand, and the old reliable, Stevie (who-no-longer) Wonder(s) or wanders off the Plantation. “Pull my string, hear me sing!”.
So I guess Hillary is like Senator Palantine, lol?
If some of this is true, he should not be diagnosing or criticizing anyone http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2810986/Robert-Niro-threatened-lover-bid-force-abort-secret-daughter-cocaine-fuelled-1980s-wild-years-method-acting-inspired-John-Belushi-inject-drugs-killed-him.html
De Niro, a high school drop-out, trying to belittle a successful, billionaire businessman who made his money building things and creating jobs instead of playing like he was someone else....
Look at his body of work and how dark the characters have been, ditto that Joe Pesche. What impression have they left on American Culture? I’ll be nice for once and pass on any further comments. ..
Maybe it would help if he remember he is an actor not a psychologist or a particularly bright intellect.
He’s a very good actor within a limited range. As a NYC tough guy, mobster, retired CIA guy, etc. He does well. Get him out of that comfort zone and he bombs. “The Mission” is a great film in spite of, rather than because of DeNiro. He was horribly miscast and Jeremy Irons had to carry the film over the finish line.
In some ways, I thought perhaps more like Iris’ pimp “Sport”.
His over-rated career is over. He gets way too much respect simply because he played a few mob types, and people get into that.
+1
Good film with a good soundtrack
