You cannot beat liberals in a debate. They will use illogical circular logic, make everything morally equivalent and lacking any facts will call you a racist. The only real way to successfully debate a liberal is to use Alinsky’s rules against liberals.
Libs biggest fear is being ridiculed. This is why there are so many “safe spaces” being created on campuses. They cannot deal with it. Call them a delicate snowflake and their heads explode. The way to beat a liberal? Call them a moron and a useful idiot, but don’t blame them for it. Blame their parents. That sends them over the edge.
It dawned on me that, typically, the Democrats “debate” in very emotional terms and quickly imply the Republicans are either evil, stupid or both. The Republicans think they can sway voters with policy-wonk details and irrefutable logic.
The Republicans routinely lose with this approach. This year, however, Trump is campaigning like a Democrat does with emotion and blather that is low on details but high on accusations. Hillary, meanwhile, has run more like the emotionless policy wonk.
I think this has something to do with why Trump keeps winning. He’s taking the Democrat “debate” style back in their faces and our electorate is responding like they always do.
Trump has already quashed the ‘Republican War on Women’ meme in 1 day. We’ll see what he does with ‘It’s for the Children’.
Profoundly and powerfully correct! Libs don't play by the rules. They assume a role of superiority and righteousness born of a delusion that they are “Robin Hoods” stealing from the evil rich to protect and benefit the “little people.”
They are then free to use any tactics their evil little hearts can conjure up, in doing battle with traditionalists. This gives their empty shallow corrupt lives a sense of purpose and meaning.

I have already read six of Ann Coulter’s books, so I’ll pass on that book. I also watch Ann on Youtube and Jesse Watters on his great segments, and follow commentaries and confrontations by Pamela Geller on Youtube. I am heavily armed intellectually, and have an almost an unlimited supply of constitutional conservative cluster bombs to drop on unsuspecting leftist drone’s heads. To Hell with them all.
I've found the same thing. My liberal relatives have two strategies. One is to do the hit and run nasty comment. They say the meanest, lowest personal insult they can think of and then log out.
The other strategy is to quit debating the point and start attacking the character of your source or you. For example, I countered their BLM argument by quoting statistics on police shootings and they respond with, "I bet you got that from Faux News Network".
My niece was talking about "free college for everyone" and I pointed out that it wasn't "free". She then turned around and attacked me because I got free, government funded college (I'm a disabled vet) and I was just selfish because I didn't want anyone else to get the same thing. Then she logged off so she wouldn't have to deal with a response.
If a leftist says it’s for the children, you can rest assured that they are in favor of abortion, and sometimes late-term abortion, like Obung-hole certainly is. He went as far as prohibiting life-saving measures on babies who are born alive after botched abortions. He is a truly sick, demented individual.

Really it's only in liberal's narrow ignorant minds is where they cannot be beat. It the real world, they lose the debate every time, they just refuse to acknowledge it, lol.
I have found, if you really want to frustrate a statist liberal or progressive, just remind them over and over that what they believe has failed the American people big-time.
Back that up with the massive debt and unfunded liabilities as a result that has put this country in peril. They will usually counter, like any child playing the blame game, that both parties are responsible for that debt.
While you kindly, partially, agree with them, lol, you inform them the tax and spend mentality belongs to the liberals and progressives and their supporters in both parties. Happily remind them that conservatives for the most part do not support that mentality and it's all on them for their failed ideology.
Keep reminding them their ideology has already failed us and they will either shut up or call you every name in the book, lol. This is very effective debating liberals I have found.

The Left does not debate. Debate is dialectical - using language and testing opposites in a search for truth.
The Left ATTACKS, using rhetoric. Rhetoric is not dialectics. To get it, you have to read Aristotle in the original Greek, or, you could read Vox Day’s fantastic “SJWs Always Lie”, which explains it all perfectly.

Anyway, what drives them CRAZY about Trump is that he’s on to them. He does not answer punches to the head like, “you’re a racist” by whining “no, I’m not because...”, or the even weaker “Democrats are the real racists”. He recognizes a sucker punch for what it is, and hits back with “Liar”, “Crooked”, “Oh That Face”, “Low Energy”, “Pussy”, “Crazy”, etc.

I agree, liberals it is all about emotions and that is what counts and really blinds them to the truth.
Tying their ideology failures to our massive debt is something they have a hard time shaking. They know we, as a nation, are broke and the debt is real. They know they are on the tax and spenders end of the spectrum.
Therefore tying them together and telling them that, if the statist liberalism was so great, then why do we have the massive debt that puts this nation in so much peril. They've had 100 years to prove it works but it has just led us to massive debt, proving it doesn't work.
I have found this frustrates them more than anything and to continue to say what they believe has failed us all and the truth is, it has. That is why it is so effective is these facts, they have a hard time ignoring or escaping.
