A Syrian rebel was caught on camera blowing up an army tank by sneaking up to it and throwing a hand grenade down its barrel. The military tank bursts into flames as the lone Free Syrian Army fighter runs towards the camera after the grenade can be heard clinking down the shaft. Throughout the video, those supporting the rebel can be heard shouting 'Allahu Akbar', meaning 'God is great'.

That is what happens when tanks operate without infantry support.

That looks fake to me. If real, it is idiotic for a tank to go that close to the enemy without supporting infantry or another tank in overwatch. And then to just sit there without the turret moving or apparently anyone looking around (the driver, gunner, commander - or loader if there was one) For the grenade to go all the way into the turret, the breech would have to be open. What kind of tank sits there in combat with the breech open? Note that the barrel did not explode so it doesn’t look to me like the grenade encountered a main gun round that had already been loaded. Like most of what goes in in the Middle East, this looks staged.

I remember during the Iran/Iraq War. Iran had run out of ammo and in one battle sent 10,000 soldiers to rush Iraqi gunners hoping some of them could get there and kill them. Yeah that worked out well.

For the grenade to go all the way into the turret, the breech would have to be open. What kind of tank sits there in combat with the breech open?

A Russian one, with an automatic loader for the gun, [T80 at video] and a gunner who's not yet been ordered which type ammo [High Explosive, HE-Antitank, Canister or SABOT to select and load.

Other possibility: the crew left the tank booby-trapped, [and the breech open with a HE round on the loader carrier for that reason]and the guy with the grenade would rather clear it from the ground instead of trying it after climbing on the back deck.

Most of the recent [last 30 years] Russian tank main guns I've been around had separate loading ammunition, too. That instant flash of fire and flame from the tank looked like the powder from a main gun propelling charge going off to me.
