I believe that the powers that be, know AI is coming, and VERY soon. That is why they are subverting Western Culture with Islamics.

The thing is, that Islamics are not builders. So how do they keep society running (albiet at a much reduced number)?

Answer: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, both of which are exploding right now.

Once the Islamics have decimated ‘common man civilization’, the transhumanists will come after the Islamics.

Then they will finally have their robotic paradise.

They, of course, have not thought things through. Once AI is out there, how do you control it?

Perhaps this is why there are never any advanced civilizations to discover in all the cosmos.

“I’m not stupid, but when I rent an unfamiliar car, it takes me 20 minutes sitting in the lot just to figure out how to change radio stations, turn on the air, etc.”

This struck home with me because lately I have been doing a little part time work at a huge auto auction, driving cars on auction day as well as moving them around on the lot before the sale. I don’t own a vehicle newer than 2004 and I have been amazed at how many screwball ways have been found to make things confusing in the last few years. On some vehicles you actually need to have a course on how to find the controls. Power window controls for instance are mostly located on the door but in some cars they are in astounding locations like the dashboard, the center console etc. There is no standardization anymore, there must be fifty different ways to shift an automatic transmission now and some of them make you want to pull your hair out. Probably the most hated shifter is found on some BMW and Mercedes models, a tiny little stick that is hard to find and has a little button you have to push on the end of it to get into or out of park. Every driver hates them, no one knows how any designer could have ever thought it was a good idea.

People have quit listening and thinking. I won’t go into my ordeal with AT&T just to get a simple land line in advanc of our move without stopping the current service that we need until we do move.

They never saw anyone with two houses both needing a phone?

“Most people never learned how to listen to another person.”

And most have never learned how to SAY something to another person either! I often find myself having to interrogate someone to figure out what they meant by their last question or statement. Most simply assume that because they know what they are trying to say the listener will know too. Then there are those, like my own dear wife, who toss off something without making any effort to obtain the attention of the person they are addressing. Just throw it over the shoulder while walking away or whatever and then act amazed that the message was not heard.

I’ve wrestled with a number of badly designed web sites. They simply fail. They do not do the thing that they are expected to do.

So, the only recourse is to try to call Customer Service and see if they can help. Of course, getting through the automated system is tough, but with persistence, you can often reach a human who has been tasked with helping people.

In many cases, it becomes obvious that the way the CS Rep is “helping” me is by going to the damn web site and trying to make it do the thing it is expected to do. Only the site doesn’t. It fails. It’s a bad site. But over the phone I have heard reps trying what I’ve tried. Hitting the roadblocks I’ve hit. Cursing the system I’ve cursed. And that’s as far as the human can take the matter.

Which means Customer Support can only say “Sorry.”

Jeez, I could be on this thread all night with stories. I bet we all could.

I work with a guy who communicates kind of like this:

“The thing is, you know ... the other day ... and — Jeez! — I tell ya! Anyway, it’s important ... and ... well .. ya know ... so, can you do that?”

I gave up on him a long time ago. I just say, “No idea what you’re talking about.”

And he really and truly can’t explain anything any better than that, so I never have to do anything for him. I won’t pull it out of him. I don’t grill him. I won’t do his communicating for him.

I’m a really, really good listener. It’s (truly) one of my best skills. But you need to TALK with me in order for the listening to come in to play.

Took forever screaming at the phone telling the robot I wanted to talk to a human.

AT&T’s online system just sends you in endless circles.

I’m trying to get service with a local broadband line of sight internet provider at a high baud rate and unlimited data volumes, use a VOIP phone, Amazon Firestick for television and the internet and drop my cell phone service down to just the bare minimum and no smart phones. If I really need navigation I’ll get a GPS but my maps do me just fine. Smart phone on the road is nice to have though for scoping things out when pulling a trailer.

I notice something similar, the incessant need to make things better, when actually they take something that works great, and end up ruining it.

You described Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10

I am still waiting for someone to tell me as a user, what benefit do I get from upgrading to any of them from XP.

A warehouse club whose name starts with "C" just changed credit card providers from Amex. Eight days after I got a phone call telling me the account was past due. No statement, anything. I chewed on a supervisor (they call that "being escalated.") They arranged to pull what they needed from checking.

Sure enough, three days later my cellphone started ringing. I would answer, the other person would hang up. After a couple tries I called the number. Sure enough...the rep said the account was past due. Chewed some more supervisor @ss.

Their service will put the company out of business.

Exactly, We went all Mac until a recent project specific need for Windows.

Windows 10 should result in the worlds largest class action lawsuit.

After this project ends, the only remaining PC drive gets re-formatted and the old win 7 goes back on, and IT shall isolate/ ban that unit from any Microsoft Internet interface, if that’s even possible.

You should see how AUTOCAD does the same thing. It should be criminal.

It’s like selling someone a $30,000 automobile, then in 3 years declaring no more replacement parts shall be produced, you just now need to buy a new car.

People don’t listen because the corporate higher-ups demand that they follow scripted behavior. People don’t act like humans anymore because they’ve been dehumanized by bad management practices.

a human revolution is brewing.

Don’t think so. This article is like a re-write of the first chapter of the Peter Principle. Nothing changes.

2nd Law of thermodynamics. Things ALWAYS go from Bad to Worse.

Part of the problem seems to be the widespread use of incomplete sentences which lead to misunderstanding and automatic loss of interest.

Laz, you know very well that once the Islamists succeed there will be no ‘transhumanists’ remaining alive to come after anyone ... and anything not in the koran will be destroyed as will anything already mentioned, ushering the world into a perpetually warring Dark Age.

How one talks to others likely has some correlation to reading skill, comprehension, and diversity of reading habits.

You and I know that but the transhumanists are betting on robotics and AI to fight the Islamics.

I have the same problem on the Mac with upgrading from Snow Leopard 10.68 to 10.11 El Capitan.

‘Transhumanists’ are a fiction perpetuated on the unwary public by Islamist taqyyia.
