I don’t understand any of it today. There is no entertainer worth that much money. And “pretty” is not a word that comes to mind when I see her. Anorexia comes to mind.
When she was younger and was singing country music she was advised to hold on to her music rights. So every song that she writes she has the publishing rights to them. That is smart advice for a 16 year old, but 10 years later it is reaping benefits that many other musicians will never see. She is smart because she realized that if this holds true for music rights, it also holds true for imaging rights. I venture to say that twenty years down the road she will make Oprah and Madonna look like paupers.

I agree except that I don’t call it music. I just don’t understand why anyone wants to listen to that, after ten seconds it is like listening to chalk scratching on a blackboard. Compared to her Boy George sounds like Beethoven.

Sometimes I start to wonder just why is it that I can’t see all this great talent that is supposedly appearing but all I need to do is just watch some old you tube videos and I realize that the people we considered second, third or even fourth rate talent in the fifties and sixties were vastly better than Taylor Swift and the like.
Swift’s saccharine bubble gum music constantly plays on the Muzak at work. I liken it to those earwigs that eat into your brain.
Swift doesn't hang out with Lena Dunham. Lena Dunham hangs out with Taylor Swift, or more accurately, schedules an opportunity to be photographed in public with Taylor Swift.
Having ditched her "geeky girl next door" persona, Taylor Swift is today the Apex Alpha Queen Bee in showbiz, all lesser celebrities supplicate to bask in her presence.
