Show your ID, take off your shoes, hand over the carry-on and maybe, just maybe, get a pat-down!
TSA checkpoints are a hassle travelers have come to accept, but new layers of security could further test your patience.

Just like out local military base. Right after 9/11, they went to very stringent checks to get on base. The lines, more than six of them, were two miles long. What a target.
The base finally stopped that happy horse-hockey when the state highway patrol threatened to close the access roads to the base. The access lines were obstructing traffic and posed a significant hazard to other motorists.
This is just about as stupid as you can get. The TSA creates targets for terrorists. Lets gather a large crowd and put them in ropes, guarantee that they are unarmed.
Its so idiotic I can’t stand it. Between LAX, Brussels and Istanbul the terrorists have learned that the government always provides a new target when they take away the last one.
I like the way you think.

Sure, Einstein. Brilliant move. Then the muzlims will bomb the $h!t out of the passengers and shoot them in the parking lot. Smart move.
A sane solution: kick the f&^%$$G muzzies out!
The Israelis do a very good job. But they deal with nothing remotely like the volume of passengers and flights that we do.
And Americans don’t need to be showing up FOUR hours before the flight that might last an hour. That is what El Al requires.
A how to for terrorists. And since there is a lot of scientific research that says that people will figure out the best way to do something. How long will it be, before a terrorist loads a roller board suit case with whatever goes boom and a lot of nails. They get in line for TSA and before they get to the part where you show your license, it all goes boom.
Its easy, its cheep. You get a bigger bomb. How long before this happens. Some people are afraid of flying. I am afraid of airports. I am sure terrorists have thought of everything. This post is for the TSA that seem to only react to the smarter terrorists.
We just have more airports. Two airports I use, Palm Beach, and Cincinnati, have about the same amount of traffic as Tel Aviv does.
And it comes as news to me that I have to arrive four hours before a flight in Tel Aviv. I pretty much do there what I do here in NJ.

How about a TSA agent in every home ?
Will change nothing as far as threats go but will give them a reason to spend a lot more money to provide shelters outside the main terminals....
Oh, yes, please move the lines outside. In places like TX or AZ with our Summertime Temps, having people keel over from heat stroke sounds like a genius idea.
Yeah, this would have really helped with the World Trade Center, Boston, Paris, Brussels, San Bernardino and Orlando.
No, blood will soak into the sidewalk, but can be mopped off of terrazzo.
Should cut down on folks flying out of DFW if they have to stand in long lines in the sun for screening. Let’s see - stand in the sun in 110 degree temperatures for a couple of hours, or drive an air conditioned car 500 miles?
If it becomes a reality, you can kiss commercial air travel good-bye. infrastructure can’t handle it, airports can’t afford it, and the public won’t put up with it.
I’d invest in railroad stocks.
They tried that after 9/11. It didn't last very long. (Actually, that may have been before they were called TSA).
Yeah ... try that in the south ... in the heat of summer.
Or the northeast in the dead of winter.
No, thanks.
Nailed it!
That brings up a very interesting issue. Here we are, checking (mostly) citizens simply wanting to get on a plane but we can't check non-citizens entering the country this thoroughly? Really?
O.k. by me.
“how about we go around the world and KICK ROYAL ASS of every single country that is remotely related to terrorism.”
We have entered a new age where terror is essentially crowd-funded. Yes, there are still countries involved in terrorism. But the real danger is Islam and social media. The current leader is ISIS, but it can be anybody anywhere. All it takes is an internet connection and social media and they get followers and exhort those followers to “think globally but act locally.” Like the twins who killed their parents in Saudi Arabia. Money expended, practically zero. The problem is Islam itself. Any adherent of Islam is already primed by their beliefs to be a terrorist, to follow Jihad.
A prime example of how things have changed is Turkey. Turkey is an Islamic country. But there is no Arabic word for citizen. You aren’t a citizen if you are Islamic. You are simply Islamic wherever you are. You are a soldier in a cause and that cause is to subjugate all others to Islam. Countries are a western construct. Islamic people are not citizens. They subscribe to no law but Sharia and no leader but an Imam. Presidents are irrelevant. I think Turkey will regret funding the Jihad, as will Sauid Arabia. Only Iran, which is not Arabic, will survive as a country.
