Of course, the “no-shutdown” GOP-e policy “guarantees” that the parks will be “open”.

Sure, because we all know no one goes to the national parks for vacation.

Just try going to Zion, Yosemite, or Bryce Canyon in the summer. Parks are mobbed with visitors from all over the world. Tour buses are everywhere. There is no place to park. It’s crazy.

I go to a lot of national and state parks. In an entire day I might not see one black visitor. Hundreds of Asians and whites though.

One of our friends and his wife decided to stop at Yosemite on their trip from Reno to Monterey a few weeks ago. He said it was sooooo crowded that they left as soon as they were able to get turned around. And I guess today the lyin’ king et al are going to disrupt it even further. Not to worry, the bill will be in the mail to us before long. Thanks a lot pal.

Will he proudly say how “Stonewall” in New York City is becoming a national historic site, akin to a national park?? Will he encourage us to visit there too???

Yes because nothing focuses one's attention on something like planning to visit a park for a weekend of relaxation and being told that you will not be allowed to enter it because Braak and Big Snarly will be spending time there and you peons should are unworthy of being in their presence.

The CAIR MAREs (Muuzlems Against Really Everyone) are a different matter, of course.

Yosemite is super busy. If you want reservations they say book them a year out. They don’t need any attention from the Obamas.

About a year ago, the NY Times (fish wrap) came out with a scathing editorial about how the National Park System was making far too little effort for out-reach to the non-white population of these United States. Said editorial discussed methods of increasing minority attendance and finished with this ending about an excellent subject of such encouragement;

We need to inspire people like Jordan Quiller, a 21-year-old African-American who had never seen a mountain until he moved into one of the Rainier-monikered Seattle neighborhoods at the end of last year. He’s never visited a national park, but would like to.
Three national parks lie within a three-hour drive of Seattle. “It takes a little planning,” Mr. Quiller said. “I just haven’t gotten around to it.”
I hope the National Park Service and its partners are listening.

Obviously, now, the "Bully Pulpit" of the Presidency will be engaged and the TOTUS will speak to the under-served, inviting them to join their oppressors in nature!

Haven’t you heard?

Black consider parks “racist” because all of those trees remind them of the tens of billions of blacks who were lynched from trees.

Ok...I exaggerated the last part a wee bit, but the rest of it was actually used by a lib journalist recently.

***“Stonewall” in New York City***

Why was the Stonewall raided? If it was like the southern bars, it was raided not because of queers, but because the local Chief or Police did not get his “cut” of the take.

What’s up with this? Obama thinks nobody will go to national parks unless he sets an example???????
