Do you feel strongly about Harambe, the hapless gorilla executed by Cincinnati zoo to protect the life of the four-year old child Isaiah whose stupid, irresponsible parents allowed him to crawl into the gorilla’s pen?

Well I do too. Especially when you realise – at least by some accounts – that the gorilla was actually trying to protect the child not kill it.

But I don’t think in the outrage stakes any of us can quite compete with the angry black people in social media forums who have been blaming the incident on entrenched white privilege.

There is a chance the gorilla thought the kid was a baby primate. Would a white kid have survived? Just throwing it out there.

Oh for F sake! I don’t pretend to know what the right decision was. Probably the boy was safe with the gorilla, but zoo officials had to make a hard decision and fast. But for people to play the race card on this is pathetic. Why does it seem that conservatives are the real people who actually don’t want to look at people/animals based on race?

Wasn’t there a white boy who fell into an enclosure not long back? The gorillas did not mess with him and actually stayed away.

In this case, the child was black, and male gorillas are known to kill the babies. Maybe the zoo keepers thought the gorilla might think this black kid was a gorilla and might try to kill it. No, I am not writing this in jest.

What better way to prune the gene pool and tree of stupidity than to let your brats loose in the gorilla habitat of the local zoo and see which ones are stupid enough to fall in? The wrong parties were behind bars in this case.

The sad part to me is the only innocent party in all of this was the gorilla that was shot probably trying to protect the idiot’s kid.
