Do you feel strongly about Harambe, the hapless gorilla executed by Cincinnati zoo to protect the life of the four-year old child Isaiah whose stupid, irresponsible parents allowed him to crawl into the gorillas pen?
Well I do too. Especially when you realise at least by some accounts that the gorilla was actually trying to protect the child not kill it.
But I dont think in the outrage stakes any of us can quite compete with the angry black people in social media forums who have been blaming the incident on entrenched white privilege.

LOL
The parents of the child are black....
Gorilla Lives Matter.
The kid did not appear panicked ...
Every time I go to Breitbart my computer locks up.
Drag.
Actually 2 problems:
1. The boy was black.
2. Those making the idiotic white privilege comments don’t even realize that by making this comparison, THEY are associating black people with gorillas.
So is the child, but he's a lot lighter than the gorilla, so still white privilege.
LOL ... he could have been my son ... I mean that poor gorilla.
Same here.
The critics are not very bright for several reasons.
For one, you do not just walk up to a 400 lb. gorilla and say “OK, let me have him”.
I know nothing about gorillas but I do know that almost every “A” type animal will defend his prize.
Just try taking his bone or a freshly caught rabbit from an “A” type dog.
Our dog is not a big dog at all. She is just a little larger than the large beagles, but try it with her and you will be counting your fingers to be sure you still have all of them.
Whereas that gorilla was maybe playing with the child, I would bet that he would be very difficult to deal with if one tried to take the kid away from him.
Both the kid and the rescuer would have been hurt and probably fatally.
Can you imagine the outrage if that black child had been torn apart because white zookeepers didn’t shoot the gorilla?!
As it is, I still expect a lawsuit from the parents will come.
There was a similar account some years ago of a little boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure. The little boy (blond white boy) was unconscious and it was clear that the gorilla was protecting him. I don’t recall reading that the gorilla was shot.
It would seem reasonable (to me) that a gorilla would see a small human child (of any color) as a baby gorilla, and would respond with appropriate and tender care.
I know; I hate that. They display so many ads they reach a point of diminishing returns because people avoid their website.
I use Ghostery, maybe that’s why I don’t see their ads.
And...why does the entire world have to be child proof? It wasn’t when I was a kid and millions of kids my age survived. It’s the parents’ responsibility to watch their children.
